Thanks Kook!!! I think I may steal your request verbiage as that is exactly what we want. I think the BL views are just beautiful and I have no desire to be on the TPV side(other than fireworks). My one request when staying at a resort is that I never want to see a car when looking out the window or balcony. TPV for me, is too much of the real world with cars and buses. I will take a lake with boats, swimming pool and the GW rooftop any day!

That is exactly how I feel as well. In June we will be staying BLV-CL because we also don't want to see a parking lot full of cars and buses even with the park beyond them. :goodvibes

I have gotten this exact response from others when I've asked which view they'd rather have at the CR. I think it's great to be able to see fireworks from your balcony, but I have always thought the parking lot took away from that great view (and not what I want to look at). For CL, staying BLV gives you the best of both worlds for less money as you get a great view of the fireworks from the lounge, but can then go back to your balcony and enjoy the calming view of the lake :cloud9:. I hope you both have a great trip :wizard:.

Hi KOOK :wave2:....hope things are going well with you :flower3:.

That might be the reason that many moons ago all the tower rooms were the same price.

Hi! Just switched our September 18- 25th trip from akv to blt lake view. It's our first stay at blt and I'm slowly working my way through the thread.

Wondering about 4th of July fireworks...

If we have an ADR at Chef Mickey's on the 4th (not staying at CR), is there somewhere good to go to see the MK fireworks (and hear the music) there at CR?

Thanks!! :-)

Working on planning a trip in feb 2015. 2 adults and 6 kids. Looking at the 2 bedroom in BLT. DH working on the point rental.

We have a type 1 diabetic and another with multiple food allergies. It will be nice to have some kitchen options.

Does anyone know what kind of soy milk is available at Fantasia? CL poly had the original silk as soy and that worked perfectly.

Great thread!

If you're in the main atrium on the 4th floor you can walk to the North side of the tower and find doors that lead to an outside staircase where you can watch MK fireworks. They pipe in music there if I remember correctly and there are also benches to sit if available. I think the only other place where they pipe in music is California Grill but you need an ADR unless there is lounge availability.

Officially booked 1 bedroom lv at BLT for September!!! So excited!!!

How exciting :banana::banana:. I'm so glad LV came through as I know you really wanted that over standard and were torn as to whether or not to just book standard. Now you can relax since what you want is officially booked :goodvibes. I hope the AKV booking goes just as well.

Hi Kook! Looks like we need to get back on the log-o-rail. With the rumors swirling that the first Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween party will be Aug. 29, we booked ourselves in a BLT lake view studio for that night! I' excited because I thought it would another year before we got back to CR/BLT. :goodvibes
Welcome back! What a great location for walking to the par-tay. Looks like August will be getting a little more crowded and they're also extending SWW by a week, too. Maybe soon all the special events will overlap:scratchin

I am hoping someone else knows for sure about the clothes line. Crossing my fingers for one as it really helps in drying suits although we often use the balcony chairs when needed but I wasn't sure about the wind level in the tower rooms. Would hate to lose a suit from a big gust of wind or see the face of the poor soul who runs across it:rotfl2:

Did they ever remodel the pool bathrooms or are they the same from our visit back in 2005ish? I don't remember too much of them other than they looked dated and small. Hopefully someone will chime in on lockers/shower availability.
IDK about the pool bathrooms getting rehabbed, but they still seem small, but maybe someone else will comment.

We love Bay Lake because it gives you the illusion that you're more secluded than you actually are. You're going to love the view.

Nothing to see here. :badpc:

Hi Kook! :wave2:
What's going on here? Did you do a re-book/de-book when I wasn't looking? I had to do a spring break de-book and might have to do an August - June re-book:crazy2:

How is your 2014 planning coming along?

That might be the reason that many moons ago all the tower rooms were the same price.
…And we still requested BLV back then. Even when I booked the Tower Club recently, where you can't book the view, I still requested BLV. I'm sure we're in the minority, but we just love Bay Lake.

Someone reported recently that the music was no longer being played outside, but IDK if that's still the case. Here's a photo of the viewing area from the first page for koh:

Officially booked 1 bedroom lv at BLT for September!!! So excited!!!
Yippee! I already logged your dates, but now it's official:)

I am so excited! We will be joining the CR fun Sept. 13-20! This will be our 3rd trip to the World, but our first stay at CR (previous stays at Poly and YC). We're stating Garden wing GV- not as cool as the tower, but less expensive. This will also be our first late summer/ early fall trip, so I'm hoping we won't melt. I'll just have to put up with Chia Head from the humidity, lol! I also am excited about MNSSHP... Can't wait to surprise the kids!

Headed "Home" in June.....
1st Stay at our BLT home resort, June 14-16th 1 Bedroom, Theme Park View!

We are adding this on at the end of a one week AKV- Kidani stay!

WDW, Star Wars Weekends and ending with Theme Park view.......

I am all too familiar with the chia head! I have become very creative with braiding thanks to our summer Disney trips!

Are the pools at CR yuk? I can NOT make up my mind between CR and GF! I don't think we'll spend a ton of time swimming so I don't know if the pool should be a deal breaker. Plus my boys are 3 & 5 so slides and such aren't a super big deal yet to where we need to be at SAB.
Thoughts on the pool?

How is your 2014 planning coming along?

Hey KOOK :).

Our plans are kind of at a stand still right now as nothing is booked, but I am I thinking of booking a short Christmas trip at AKL CL. I have my eye on Poly CL and CR CL as well, but we will be there during holiday rates, so booking either one of those would depend on what (if any) discounts are offered for our dates. I cancelled the cruise for December as I realized after booking that the dates weren't going to work with our schedules, so its back to the drawing board of planning :rolleyes1.

When is your next trip and where are you staying?

Congrats on your first CR stay :goodvibes. We've never stayed at the CR, but we're hoping to try it sometime.

I can't speak for the CR pool as we've never stayed at the CR, but the GF pool is nice. The Poly pool is our favorite, but we did enjoy spending time at the GF pool :).

Hmmm... Soy dream. I know she hates the frozen version of it. Will need to buy some of it here to try out. Thanks Kook!

Thanks!! I am pretty excited. I could get std for only two nights and didn't want to bother moving so lake view it is!!! Looks so nice!!
