Nine, plus one under the age of three. If it is dedicated, it will have one king, two queens, one queen sleeper sofa and one twin sleeper chair. If it is a lockoff, you'll have one king, one queen, one queen sleeper sofa, one double sleeper sofa and one twin sleeper chair. Plus a pack and play. There are no additional fees because you can't put any more than nine plus one under the age of three. If you have more than one under the age of three, only one won't count in the nine occupants.
Awesome thanks. We are adding some family to our 2 bedroom so I can sign everyone up for fast passes pre-trip. We have 7 plus and infant! Only 3 of us plus the infant are sleeping in room :)

LOVE THIS THREAD! We're going to be in a TPV room at CR Jan 31 - Feb 2. I stayed at the there in approx 1974 when I was a kid. SOOOO excited to be staying there again.
With my DD22 and DD19 we've stayed at ASMo and last spring AoA. Both were wonderful but the CR is my penultimate resort.

Jambo House only has a combination shower/tub in the one bedroom. Kidani Village has a separate tub and shower in the master and the combo in the extra bathroom. BLT has the separate tub and shower and the combo in the extra bathroom. I'm not sure where the roll in shower will be.
Thanks for the reply! We are staying in a 1 bedroom at BLT!!!! :goodvibes

Hi all... Thinking of booking BLT 1 bedroom for this coming July - Could someone explain the lounge at the top of the tower? Is it for any guest in BLT? Even children?

Top of the World Lounge at the top of BLT is available for any DVC member and their guests staying at a Disney resort. You must show your DVC membership card to gain access.

Thanks - we are looking to book with cash so I guess we won't be able to access it. Is there a spot that we can view the fireworks from BLT if we don't have MK view?

I do believe that in 2014, the ToTWL is open to anyone staying DVC, including cash reservations. :goodvibes

Nope. DVC members used to have to be staying on points to access BLT, now that perk has been expanded to all DVC members staying on points or cash. But you still need to present a DVC member card to gain access to the lounge.

Thanks for the link, I searched it before posting but couldn't find it. I read it wrong (just remembered the cash reservations part). :goodvibes

Oh well! Thanks for the info!

When I stayed at BLT on rented points in May 2013, the front desk CM checking me in suggested that I go up to ToTWL for fireworks. I had read on the Dis that this was not the policy, but figured that if the front desk told me I could (without my having even brought it up), I wasn't going to turn down the opportunity! She gave me a slip of paper to give the ToTWL elevator CM. Pixie dust or newbie CM, who knows!

Since that time they have clarified the requirements of going up to the lounge. You must be a member. The CM made an error.

From the member website:
Disney Vacation Club Members staying at any Disney-owned-and-operated hotel at Walt Disney World Resort (whether they booked with vacation points or cash) may enjoy access to one of the vacation kingdom's most exclusive spaces: Top of the World Lounge atop Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort through December 29, 2014 (blockout dates apply. Including but not limited to 12/30/13, 12/31/13, 7/3/14, and 7/4/14). Current operating hours are 6 p.m. to midnight.

This perk is available exclusively to Members and those in their traveling party who are staying on that Member's reservation. At least one Member in the traveling party must accompany the group and present his or her current Key to the World card displaying a Disney Vacation Club Membership notation in order to gain admission to the lounge and observation deck. If the Member's Key to the World card doesn't display a Membership notation, a Disney Vacation Club Member ID is required in addition to the Key to the World card to verify Membership.

Note that Members traveling from other Resorts must use Walt Disney World Transportation, as parking is unavailable to anyone not staying at Bay Lake Tower or Disney's Contemporary Resort. Upon arrival, Members must walk to the Bay Lake Tower main lobby entrance on the ground floor and check in at the Top of the World Lounge desk in the lobby.

This special Top of the World Lounge access is available on a first-come, first-served basis until the lounge reaches capacity. As the lounge is particularly popular during the Magic Kingdom fireworks, arriving as early as possible will give Members the best chance of gaining admission.

Thanks all for the clarification of Top of the World. We'll probably watch from the skyway. :-)

I have one other question - do the 1 bedroom villas often get included in discounts when they are released or are they often excluded? We aren't familiar with staying in villas so I have never really paid attention to them when discounts are released.

Thanks!

We rented points for our stay in November and were not asked for any proof that we were DVC members. We were able to access the lounge twice during our stay. I think it depends on the CM and how diligent they are. It could also have been due to the fact that we weren't going up there to watch the fireworks (both times we went it was after the fireworks and there was only about 10 people in the lounge).

You were very lucky. We are DVC members who stayed at BLT and we were asked for our blue member card.
