I don't know about the infant scene but I've done okay by magic bands I think. We still rocked rope drop yesterday and used the first 2 hours with regular standby and old fp-. Then ETWB fp+ kicked in at 10. From there we had another at 11. Then went to lunch and took a nap. Used another 2 for parade and wishes that night. I got pixie dusted with an extra when I called tech services. Mostly just book your must haves late morning. Or sleep in a bit and count on only getting your fasfpass rides done with short lines.

I am writing from our TPV tower room right now! I feel like we got the most amazing pixie dust this trip! ! First the extra fp+ and then we walked into our room and I saw a glimpse of the bus stop lights. It struck me! I shouldn't be seeing bus stops. I ran over and saw the castle all aglow ! We were upgraded!

Lucky you!! Such a wonderful view isn't it? Cr is awesome!

Love pixie dust!

If you can, sit out in the balcony late at night, watch the GF wedding pavilion shut down their lights, then the MK start turning everything off. While my kids slept I sat outside and watched and took it all in it. Truly magical. Congrats on the upgrade!!!

Watch Out Contemporary Resort! The Wisconsinites will be there in 2.5 days. The missing item: Sunscreen. Cannot buy sunscreen in Wisconsin in December. This vacation is entirely too complicated! :dance3:
Did you try Target- we clearly don't need it now in michigan either, but they have a whole section out still! I tried doing the math on when you are leaving to see if you had time still...

Have fun!!

DVC Mike posted this HERE after attending the DVC meeting yesterday.

VP suite Follow Up

Following up on my prior post, below is a link to an album with several pictures of the room and some pictures of the hotel and views. I will also include a video later if I can figure out how edit it properly!

Overall, our stay was excellent and we really enjoyed the privacy of the Tower Club, with only 16 rooms in the floor. Other than a couple of occasions when a group of convention people were loud and obnoxious, we usually never met other guests at the lounge.

The room was extremely spacious and comfortable, although not completely up to par with amenities usually found in other luxury hotels. Also, housekeeping was just ok as there were stains on the balcony doors for our entire stay, as well as bird droppings on the tables and chairs outside the balconies for the duration of our stay ...

We loved the convenience of the Club Lounge, as it was literally a few steps outside our room (I understand that at other resorts, it can be quite a hike to the lounge). Offerings of snacks in late afternoon and desert at night were really very good, but we missed on protein for breakfast (I understand it is continental, but it would be nice to add an egg dish or some ham/turkey cuts for instance).

For those who asked about the price ... our rate was around $2,100 for weekdays and $2,200 for weekend, including a 5% discount. So very expensive, and needs to be taken into consideration when doing/reading the review.

And a photo below that I really liked, as the light was beautiful!

Cheers,

Does anyone know if BLT is usually included in the discounts to the public? And if so, about what percent off of the room rate is usual? I'm anxiously awaiting summer discounts!!

Cheers,
Thank you so much for posting your Tower Club TR, burg. I agree with your assessment that the price charged doesn't necessarily match the service and ambience. The Greenbrier it is not, however, unlike the Greenbrier, it's steps from the MK.

I'm going to post a link on the first page to your album. It's wonderful having your photos available on the thread. Thank you.

I know it's early, but just booked BLT for July 14-25th. Let the countdown begin.
It's almost ADR time for you. I'll add you to the Log-orail.

In my experience, it's always been included. I booked using the military 40% off and it's also been available with AP and General Public discounts. You can also book now and apply an applicable discount later. If none is to your liking or available, you can always cancel.

How comfortable is the pull-out sofa for an adult at BLT?
Our teen thought it was very comfortable and didn't complain about it at all (a rarity for a teen:laughing:). I even asked her again just now about her experience with it and she confirmed that it was very comfortable.

Thank you WDWKOOK. We have the deluxe room at WL booked right now, but my sister is really interested in the 1 bedroom at BLT which is actually cheaper per night. If we can get a better discount at BLT, we will probably switch. I just hope either are available when we book with the discount!

Out of curiosity do any of you have suggestions for a baby sling / carrier? I always used a stroller with my son, but thought about trying out a carrier while my daughter is still so young. Any opinions are greatly appreciated. :)

The sleeper chair that is in the one bedroom and larger is more comfortable than the sleeper sofa. Both have a three section foam pad for a mattress, so it can feel hard.

Loved our Beco Gemini, new version is the Soliei I think. You can wear on back, front or side and baby can face in when tired or out when awake. We loved ours, felt like we could control when DD napped. We bought hood accessory from PaxBaby, so didn't need a Sunhat the whole time. GL

We use an Ergo which can be worn three different ways; front, back, side and our 9m old daughter LOVES it. We plan on using it when we go in Feb and she'll be 11m then. She even sleeps in it.

We will be at BLT in a few weeks using our DVC. We want to add a couple of days to our May 2014 trip. Are bounce back offers available if you stay as a DVC but are going to book a room not using points?

We stayed at BLT on points (rented) in June and I was able to book a bounce back for November at POR.

Starting January 21, 2014, service on the Magic Kingdom Resort and Express monorails will be unavailable on weekdays between 11:30 a.m. and 7 p.m. to allow for planned maintenance. This schedule will run through the end of March 2014. During this time, watercraft and additional buses will be available. The Epcot monorail beam will operate normally.
