Our family is going to take a quick (3 day) trip to Cleveland next month. We are planning on going to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, tour A Christmas Story house, and probably see a Cavs game.

Any suggestions for other places to see? Keep in mind this will be mid-November, so I'm guessing that anything outside might not work.

In Pittsburgh we have the famous Primanti sandwiches, so I'm trying to find out what types of food are famous in the Cleveland area.

Thanks!

Do you have kids in the group? The Natural history Museum is a favorite of my kids, as well as the Art Museum (free), the art museum usually has a kids scavenger hunt type acticvity that my kids love. Lake Erie Monsters game if you like hockey. The Rainforest at the zoo is a nice indoor zoo actvity and is great.

Cleveland is the home of Iron Chef Micheal Symon, so Lola, Lolita, or B-spot. Lots of great places to eat downtown or near CWRU.

Yes - I should have mentioned about my children. DS is 17 and DD is 15.

I was sooo happy to see this thread....we are going to Cleveland next week on business but also want to see a few things.....DH wants to go to the Football Hall of Fame in Canton..anybody been or can tell me anything about it?

Ah, at that age they might like Brasa, the Brazilian steakhouse. It's like O'hana where they bring out endless meats on skewers. We love the place. The meats are mouthwateringly delicious and the atmosphere is fun. Our waiter talked us into dessert (I don't know what with us all being in meat comas), and one in our group ordered a Brasa coffee. It turned out to have this whole little show to go with it!

Love it. I'm wishing I could go there today.

Eat at The Melt Bar And Grilled. Some of the most gourmet, and exotic grilled cheese sandwiches you will ever see and eat. If its not on the menu grilled cheese wise they will make it for you with all the right fixings. All though do plan on getting there right when they open or shortly after, place gets rather slammed later on in the day. Its popularity has increased since its been featured on Man vs Food on the Travel Channel. Actually my favorite place to eat when I'm home. http://www.meltbarandgrilled.com/
