Keep in mind that Nikes tend to be more narrow, and New Balance wider. We've spent A LOT of time at the podiatrist's office over the last few months with DD and that's one of the things we've learned.

It might be a better idea to buy them at a store where your child could try them on.

I buy EVERYTHING online, my dog... the fence around my pool.... but I agree with aahmom, I won't buy DD's cleats online. For some weird reason they seem to vary more than regular shoes ... even within the same brand and the same size (for those thinking about the try in a store and then order online trick)
Proper fitting cleats is absolutely essential in soccer both to play well and to avoid injuries.

I buy all my sons running shoes and running spikes online at
Eastbay.com But as a runner he is sure of his size and generally always buys the same brand. He often tries other team mates shoes on for size and comfort. If you know what you want you can't beat Eastbay for price. They are also good to deal with if you have a problem.

The only time I'd buy cleats online is if DS had tried the style on and couldn't get the color he wanted.

another vote for www.eastbay.com I have ordered many pairs of sneakers from them and they are absolutely great to deal with even to switch sizes or change styles.
