Hey, folks

We're headed to WDW for a family holiday just after Christmas. Flying from Calgary to MCO, via Toronto. Do you clear U.S. customs at Pearson Airport or do you have to wait until Orlando? If you do it in Toronto, I assume you have to claim your luggage and re-check it in, right? And, I believe we land at T1, and the Orlando flight leaves from T2. How long does it take to get from one terminal to another?

Thanks in advance!

Yep, you clear USC&I in Toronto..:)
...and you have to get your luggage and re-check...
...it's a walk, but not too bad.

If you're short on time between flights, get a porter at Baggage, they'll zip you right through..also, let your FA on your YYC-YYZ flight know that you're connecting, they'll advise you of your gate, etc. Once you get to Pearson, don't hesitate to let any airline employee that you see, know that you have a tight connection (if you do:))

If you don't, relax, enjoy some people watching - once you get through Customs and to your gate!! LOL! Be prepared to wait to get through security too:)

HTH!

If you are using a connecting flight (same airline), your bags should be dispensed to a carousel near the US customs. You pick up your bags there and walk them over to the customs line up.

Be sure to ask (and listen) at check-in to find out where to pick up your bags to take them through Customs. The agent should explain it to you.

Have fun.

It's been years since we have done this, so I could be mistaken. However, I seem to remembere, if you fly charter you have to clear in Orlando. We usually fly Air Canada so we clear in Toronto.

We flew whatever airline Conquest was using two Decembers ago. We cleared in Orlando. I prefer clearing in Toronto but then again, I'm not connecting from anywhere.

Generally...I like clearing in Toronto so that I can get to the luggage carousel in Orlando before the luggage comes creeping out.
