Hi All!

My family is making our first trip home the week of 10/10 - 10/17 at BLT (2 bedroom lock off)...we are very excited!

I am a little unsure about what will be in our room...paper plates and cups for dining or real stuff? I am ordering from from wegoshop...should i plan to order cleaning supplies (lysol wipes, paper towels, tp, dishwasher tablets) or will this be in our room?

What about coffee filters? Are the machine flat bottom or cone shaped? We will be using our dining plan for lunch and dinner and eating bfast in our room...aside from breakfast fare what is on your typical shopping list for a DVC stay?

Thanks in advance my expert DVCers!

I've looked everywhere for this info and I haven't found it. We'll be in a dedicated 2 BD Nov 20-28.

Thanks to whoever answers this! :surfweb:

Also the coffee filters are the flat bottom "Mr. Coffee" type filters. I bring Lysol wipes and I order Clorox bleach from Wegoshop. I run the bleach through the whirlpool tub to clean the jets before we use the tub.
In addition to fruit, juice and other breakfast foods, we order from wegoshop: soda, case of water, beer and wine, cheese and crackers and other snack foods, coffee, bleach. It is nice to have some "adult beverages" and snacks when we come back to the Villa.
Enjoy!!!

Day 4 of your stay ( counting check-in day as Day 1 ) is Trash & Towel Day & mousekeeping will replace towels in your villa with fresh ones, throw out the trash (we do this daily, there's a 'trash room') and will replenish paper products, soaps, shampoo, coffee packets & give you another box of Tide. If your stay is 8 or more nights then you will get the above on Day 4 including a full cleaning of the villa and Trash & Towel will then be on Day 8.

I had a similar question as well and don't want to have another post but I'm going w/ a group of 8 people (myself included to AKV Kidani and do you know how much dishwasher detergent they give, should I order some beforehand, I'm doing a grocery delivery. Thanks!!

Mousekeeping will provide DW detergent. I always bring/buy laundry detergent because you only get a box for one load at check in and then 1 box on trash and tidy day. I also bring lysol wipes, paper cups and plates, coffee, zip loc bags, a few sheets of aluminum foil, shower cap, seasonings ( we cook and fly there so they're in zip loc bags), coffee, tea bags and sugar.

If you need more dishwasher detergent, just call Housekeeping and they will bring you more.

I bring my own coffee filters (flat bottom). I bought some dishwasher tablets and throw a couple in the whirlpool tub and run it prior to using (picked that tip up from the boards).
For clothes soap, I've bought some of those purex sheets and take a bunch along, they do fine for the trip. Never have had an issue with running out of what is stocked in the rooms. I fly from Seattle and just throw this stuff in our suitcases. I've learned that we never really eat that much in our room, breakfast mainly, if that. I'll throw some microwave popcorn in the old suitcase and perhaps some nuts of some kind.

Debbie

Oh! I don't pay for our luggage while flying, so that's not an issue as far as putting these 'extras' in.
