Cleaning pressed pennies??

Can someone again tell me how to brighten them up?

I usually just toss them in some vinegar. I do thrown some salt in, but just to act like little scrubbers. It doesn't chemically do anything to clean them.

Then I rinse and dry them, and voila! Shiny pennies!

Ketchup... it's like a gel version of the vinegar and salt. Works great... but of course smells terrible.... was pennies (and hands) with dish soap afterwords.

I used a jewelry cleaning cloth to clean mine. They were all very shiny afterwards. I cleaned about 60 pennies while watching a movie one evening, it didn't take long and I would think would be a little less messy and smelly if you don't like the smell of vinegar.
