Clarion Water park hotel

are you refering to the one over by universal across from wet & wild??

if so we stayed there twice & it was fine...its no wdw resort, but its cheap & really close to universal & international blvd, but doesnt have all the traffic

Are you referring to the one near Kissimmee? If so, I stayed there a couple nights in February. The motel itself is nothing special. The location isn't great. But the actual waterpark isn't bad, although my kids said the slides were slow. I don't know that I'd stay there again, but it wasn't bad. If you book, use the 20% link through the smartertravel.com website.

Thought this looked cool and very economical, may consider for next year. I think it is a fairly new resort. DH thought it looked kinda out of the way though. Kat

Just so you know, the motel is not new at all. Only the waterpark portion is new.

We stayed there in February. The Clarion was a Travellodge and is now being remodeled. There were 3 slides that were slow.. but that was great for DD9. One was a straight slide, the other 2 were spirals. One was in a tube (DD9 refused to go because it was dark... the other was open. The lazy river was nice. Hours were short.. 11 to 6 pm. There was a pool at the other end that was opened I believe till 10 pm. Continental breakfast that was small.. fruit, toast, turnovers and cereal. They did charge me an $8 a nite "resort" fee. I was a bit annoyed by that because when I called to book I was told that there was no fee. All in all it was nice, but nothing I would plan my vacation on. It was a bit out of the way and the entrance was difficult. There was a freeway entrance towards the back , so if you didn't turn right you had to pay a toll... Feel free to ask any question.

As per the website the hotel is closer to the airport then it is to Disney. Too far from the attractions, JMO. Very unlikely you'll be coming back to the hotel for an afternoon pool break. I don't know what the hours are for the water park but there is a good chance you won't be using it much.

This place looks fun. My kids would love it.

I wish they had kids suites, or bunkbeds, or something more "family" friendly.
