Clarification on BOG cancellation policy

I am sure this is somewhere on the board but I can't seem to find a definite answer - for a BOG QS meal (breakfast or lunch) - what is the cancellation policy? I'm seeing 11:59 PM ET day before arrival AND 24 hour notice.

If I have lunch at 2 PM on the 25th - do I need to cancel by 2 PM on the 24th or by 11:59 PM on the 24th?

You can cancel your dining reservation online or by calling (407) WDW-DINE or (407) 939-3463 up to 11:59 PM Eastern Time on the day before your arrival. Guests under 18 years of age must have parent or guardian permission to call.

But after this it states each restaurant has its own policy which may differ and to check with each one specifically. (Sorry I don't have exact wording in front of me)

The restaurants generally have the same policy - it's the firework parties and dinner shows that will differ if at all - if your concerned call and ask a
CM

Disney Dining yesterday told me that they close at 11PM and that I would need to cancel by 11PM.
