Clarification of BCV points and incentive

I talked to my guide, Susie Farnsworth this morning about some of the questions about BCV. First off once you start your contract, you can make reservations at any other DVC resort for stays after Aug 1. In other words, I could call today and make a resevation with my BCV points (which are actually in the system already) for a stay at any DVC resort for Aug 1 or later, according to the 7 month rule. On March 6, all BCV owners(regardless of use year) can make a reservation at the BCV up to 11 months out, and any non- BCV DVC member can make a reservation there under the 7 month guidelines. Closing is June 1. Dues for members with use years before Aug, will pay dues prorated from
June 1, 2002 (in other words they will not start charging dues until you close ) Later use years will be debited dues starting with their use year (ie Dec use year will only pay prorated dues for month of Dec). For the hotel incentive: You can make a reservation as soon as your money is paid and paper work signed and returned. Black out days are:
Feb 14-18, 2002, March 28-April 1, 2002, Dec 25-31, 2002, Feb 13-17, 2003 and April 17-21,2003. Hope this clarifies things

Our guide said dues would start August (we have June use year)?? There still seems to be some confusion over parts of this presale.

BTW, will you get points in August,2002 and then points in December, 2002? If so, you are lucky.

Our guide told me BCV dues will be prorated to August 1st as well.

Sorry guys, I was writing notes so fast, I must have got mixed up between points being available, closing and when due are prorated. Glad you save a few months! I won't get points until Dec 1, however I can "borrow" them. I wish there was a way to get double points!
