Clarification needed for Magical Express

We have reservations for the POR Dec 25 to Jan 1. I understand the Magical Express is free, would we qualify since we are flying Southwest Airlines? So I just need to call the number and get the reservation for us to be on it? Someone please let me know, I am confused. Someone just told me about this Magical Express.

Thje above link should explain DME. You are eligible for DME, but as of now,, you will have to take your bags on the bus back to the airport. Arriving they will deliver the bags to your room.

When we booked, we had to request magical express. I don't think it's a service that's included automatically when booking because they don't know if you've arranged for other transportation.

If you booked through an agent have them verify magical express is included. If you booked on your own you'll have to contact Disney to request it.

Magical Express works the same for all airlines with one exception, for only a few airlines (not including Southwest yet) can you check baggage at the resort before you head back to the airport to go home.

The suggestion is to make your reservation a few weeks in advance to be sure the materials including baggage tags get to you on time. Ten days in advance is the published minimum although for vacations booked or minds changed on shorter notice Magical Express has accommodated guests nicely too.

Magical Express is never sold out. There are occasions when there are lines at the airport waiting to go to Disney (order of arrival, not booking) and there are rare occasions when you have to head home sooner than the usual 3 hours before flight time due to heavy booking.
