Claire & Chris-getting hitched Disney style 5th Oct 2011.I'm a Mrs!!

Would like to hear how you get on with your hair Rachel, have you booked a stylist? I suppose it will be fine as long as they hold long enough for the photos.

Bet you've had to plan most of it on your own! I know I have, Chris laughs at me and asks when he will be getting his itiniary, cheeky fella!

Yes i am having Beaute coming to do my hair and make up.

I have planned what we are doing every day, Kev says all he needs to do is turn up! I have a wedding folder which has every piece of information possible and just like my wedding dress it will not be leaving my sight! x

I love all of your new plans! The hairstyles are beautiful (I wish that my hair would stay like that - so if yours would stay, definitely go for it!). Those bouquets are all so unique, I cannot wait to see how yours turns out! You are really talented, the flowers you did for that wedding are beautiful! So I am sure that yours is going to be great!

Hi Natalie:goodvibes. A florist and a photographer! Do you plan to make your own bouquet too?

How are your plans coming along? have you started a pj?

Hi! I'm undecided what to do about my bouquet, don't know if it might stress me out a bit making it myself. I'm a bit (well a lot) of a worrier :rotfl:

My plans are coming along ok thank you. I have the date booked, just waiting to sign the contract in October! Can't wait. And I booked the photographer the other day, which I'm really happy about. I just really need to get around to starting a planning journal! :goodvibes

Yours is the first planning journal I've ever read, and I'm loving it! I just wanted to say that it's so romantic when you said that you and your fiance were job phone friends for a year before you met. I'm looking forward to keeping up with your wedding plans!:goodvibes

I love your wedding thus far, its so different and unique!

I used to work for Levy Restaurants, they own Fultons Crab House and I can assure you that you will love the food! :)

Cannot wait to read more popcorn::

Thank you so much:goodvibes. I'm really looking forward to the food! It's ideal for us as my Mum and our friends don't eat meat but they love fish. And I can see plenty of meat on the menu for Chris and his Mum. Before we decided on Fultons I was having a real food dilema as I was trying to suit everyone. Things have worked out perfectly.

Thank you so much:goodvibes. I posted the pics as I thought they may give someone some inspiration for their own wedding. I'm so excited about making my brooch bouquet, my house is cluttered with little bags of shiny things!

I'm going to do a trial in the next few months on the hairstyle. Fingers crossed it will stay.

I'm so pleased to hear that mine is the first journal you've read. I smiled from ear to ear when I read your lovely post:hug: It's lovely to know that people are reading along with my planning. It makes it all the more exciting for me and I love getting your opinions on my ideas.

I guess our story is quite romantic:lovestruc When we eventually met face to face we both had that "this is the one" moment LOL. Chris maked me laugh every single day and I think that's so important in a relationship.

Good morning (9.30am in the UK):goodvibes

Not that much more to report at the moment. We are going to reserve our wedding rings this Saturday. Very excited about that! I think I will go with an 18ct white gold ring with diamonds, Chris fancies a white palladium ring. He's picked palladium as he's a mechanic and the jeweler told him it will wear better than gold. I'll post pics when we have made our final choice.

I'll tell you a little about my at home reception plans now:
As we are only taking our Mums and two friends with us, we decided an at home reception would be lovley for all our friends and family who aren't joining us. We bounced ideas around and we both decided a mad hatters tea party theme would be really fun and will fit in so well with our colour scheme.
So far we have a guest list of approximately 150, although I'm trying to shorten that as the venue we have picked has a maximum capacity of 150:scared1:

Here are a couple of pics of the venue:

Check out that mad wallpaper! It's on 2 floors. The buffet and dining area will be upstairs and downstairs they have lovely big comfy sofas, a bar and the disco area. The mad wallpaper room is set up for a civil ceremony in this pic but that's the room where the sofas are normally set up.

Theming wise, I will be making centre pieces for all the tables. I can't decide between towers of oversized tea cups with flowers in them..or tea pots made out of florist foam and foliage. Now I know that second idea sounds mad (more mad than the first one? I hear you say!), but I saw some at a floral exhibition and they were amazing. If I can find the photo I took then I'll post it.

We are definately having a mad hatter cake, although they are a little harder to come across in the UK so I might have a go at making one. And I am also going to make about 150 cupcakes with eat me tags.

That's all for now. Gotta go to work!

Have a lovely day ladies:goodvibes

Thank you:goodvibes

here are the pics of the teapots and arrangements I saw at a flower show. Let me know what you think of them. I think the spouts are a little too long on the teaouts but apart from that they are really fun.

Hi, love the big clear tea cups and the flower cup cakes! Everything is going to look great! :goodvibes

Thanks ladies :goodvibes. I'm really excited about the at home party as I can go mad with creativity! I'm unsure about the foliage tea pots. I'll probably decide nearer the time.

Big news, Chris has announced he MIGHT wear white trousers. I'm living in hope!!!:rotfl2:

I agree you have fantastic ideas. And your going to have a go at making a mad hatter cake? Wow, seriously impressed. You seem very creative x

There's gonna be a lot of practicing invloved with the cake! I've got a year or so to perfect it, and if all else fails I'll bite the bullet and order one.

Today is the 400 day mark! I'm excited:banana:

So we organised our wedding rings this weekend. I was over the top excited as usual:yay: and Chris was calm excited. His over the top excitement came later when he bought a pair of Buzz and Woody potato heads in the Disney Store:rolleyes:

Here is my ring:

It's 18 carat white gold with diamonds.

Big chunky palladium ring. He wanted a platinum ring as white gold would be too soft for his manual job (mechanic). However, the price was too hair raising so he went for a cross between platinum and titanium.

We've ordered them now so we have time to pay off in instalments and then collect them next year. I've never been a jewellery girl but I so love this ring and it looks great with my e ring.

Love the rings!! We are having new rings for our VR and I would like something like yours!!!

Thank you Joanne. I LOVE LOVE LOVE my ring (Did I say that I love it?:lmao:).

They are both from Goldsmiths if you want to go and have a close up look at them.

We are using Tesco clubcard deals vouchers to help pay for them. The value of Tesco vouchers quadruples if you exchange them for Goldsmith vouchers on Tesco clubcard website. So we are furiously doing all our shopping in Tesco now. I just about murdered poor Chris when he came in with a bag load of Asda shopping tonight:rotfl2:

I'll admit we could have got something cheaper from another store but with the money we'll save with the vouchers we have got two beautiful rings.

I love your plans so far! I'm now obsessed with the 1950's wedding dresses, what a cool idea :thumbsup2
Looking forward to reading more...

Thanks Melissa. I love 1950's style dresses so it was a no brainer for me. I think I'm going to buy a few more dresses in that style to wear on our Disneymoon. I'm thinking red with white polka dots- very Minnie!
