Has anyone been on Citywalk on New years Eve? We are planning on going
with our three teens and wanted to know how crowded and insane it is and do they have any entertainment thats not in the clubs.

Thank you.

That is actually a great idea!! :thumbsup2 NEver thought of that before, but I'm sure it is super cool, City Walk is cool at anytime but that is a great idea. I will consider doing this myself in the future.

Obviously I've never done this before, but I could bet you mucho $$$ that it is super packed at both Hollywood and Orlando City Walks, probably have lots of locals and special events on New Years. Also betting they probably have national act bands play too. So its probably shoulder to shoulder standing room only, but a great place to celebrate NYE.

Does anyone know how I could ind this info out? Ive checked te website but n/a yet.

Thanks.

I posted this on your inital question, back on 9/19. Not sure if you saw it or not.
We were at Universal last New Year's and plan to be there again this year, staying at PBH. Plenty to do on NY's eve, depending on what you are looking for, how old you are, and how old everyone in your party is.

Universal Studios had a live band and dj playing until around 11:30, when the announcer came on and told us all to make our way to the lagoon (doesn't matter where you are around the lagoon, every spot is good) when midnight there was a massive fireworks display and musical montage on the big globes in the middle of the lagoon - it was awesome... one word of advice, while the daytime was quite nice, it got really cold by midnight, we were in our Northface's and Uggs, and we are from Massachusetts where we are used to cold winter nights, but this took us totally by surprise, we were freezing!!

There are a couple of nightclubs at City Walk for the 21+ crowd, all of the restaurants do something (Hard Rock has a special show I think). The real fun of the night was heading back on the boat ferry with all the drunks - it was comical.

Our kids were 15 and 16 and we had a great time.
Hope this helps!

New comment - I would not recommend your family purchasing tickets for the CityWalk New Year's eve party because it's 21+ and you mention you have teens. Other than walking through City Walk (which is fun all in itself) your kids won't be able to enter any of the venues, Universal Studios is really the best place to go for teens.

we will be at the Hard Rock Hotel for NYE next year with our two boys who will only be 3 and 6 years old. Does anyone have any recommendations for what we could do with them on NYE - I'd like to make it a bit special if I can!!:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

I would stay at the resort and enjoy the festivities held at your resort.

We are also considering NYE at Universal........it will be me, hubby and 10 yr old son............what do the hotels offer? What happens at Islands of Adventure, if anything?
