The beer festival is coming up this weekend. Looks like the weather is going to be great. Is anyone else going on Saturday?

sounds like a MYTHOS/Beerfest weekend for MIB9's and MsDis.
i think we are going on sunday due to little league games on Sat. :smooth:

Do you know if they have this every year? Is it usually just the weekend? We want to go next year (if they have it) & are trying to figure out our travel dates. We also want to hit the WDW food & wine festival.

Have fun! Drink a few for me & DH :)

This is the 4th annual Beerfest at Citywalk so it looks like they plan on it continuing. I am not sure if they are always planning on it being on the second weekend in november however. :smooth:

MsDis and i went to IOA to dine at MYTHOS at noon. before entering IOA we went and got our Beerfest credentials and cups. we are so glad we did since the line got very long from 2 pm on.

We hit them all and hit them hard. The Mike's hard iced tea, cranberry tea and lemonade were real good. There was a vanilla offering from Cruzan called Mujito that is suppose to ba available from ABC and Albertsons and Publix. It was also one of our favorites.

The lines were not to bad but we started at 1:00. The area in front of Hard Rock Cafe was very congested and hard to move thru without bumping into someone.

there was a minor case of vandalism in the men's restroom by Latin Quarter. Someone ripped one of the stall dividers off the wall. tile and plaster everywhere. Security was on it in short order.

it was interesting that some of the beers we liked at the begining were that our favs anymore on the second time around.

Nice day for a great event. The beerfest credentials also got you admission to all the Citywalk clubs. We were surprised at how few people stayed for the clubs after the end of beerfest at 8 pm. Of course it was Sunday and most of us have to work that next morning. :smooth:

Beerfest just wasn't as good this year as the second year...less crowded this year than the third year. I hope they make some adjustments and can draw some great beer vendors for next year.

it is kind of like it but you pay 20 dollars to get your credentials and your cup and then all the beer is free at tents. over 150 to try this year. the cup has a 2 oz line and that is where they pour to. the only thing you have to spen additional money for is the food and everything is $3.00:smooth:

That's how most beer festivals are, pay one price & get a taster glass. It's much easier than paying per drink.

Thanks for the info! I'm looking forward to this one next year!
