City, Sand, and Savanna - Link to new trip report

What a whiner! I gave you about 24 hours head start so you had a chance............:rolleyes1

I figured that either you or Dan would get this round. Although I'm waiting for him to come back and say that he can see her in every single Swarovski crystal. :faint:

Those views were great from up there! A wedding up there seems like a such a nice idea, imagine all the great backgrounds in the pictures. I'm sure Lauren made a much cuter Lady Liberty, and I bet if you looked there are pictures.

I wouldn't know where to look for pictures from back then. Our old film pictures are so un-organized...that's a project for another day, or several.

Lochte!!!

It is comments like these that make feel NO shame at watching Ryan Lochte or any other male in ( tumble monkeys ) included. I am not drooling just admiring. Nothing wrong with that. popcorn:: :lmao:

I am glad they are not wearing the full body suits this year....those boys have some serious abs!

The guy's got his mom trained to say that he only has one-night stands....I mean, even Mick Jagger's mom didn't do that! :confused3

Oh Yes when you are on deck with them you do need to watch out for the "deck change" :rolleyes1

What is that? A suit change right there at the pool?

Pole Dancing Lap Dancing and choosing a Hot Italian are NOT embarassing:confused: However Torpedoing was, is and always will be:lmao::lmao::lmao:Every day I am humbly grateful that neither Glenn or you were in canera shot of that little mishap!!!;):lmao::lmao::lmao:

Please re-enact, with a film crew present. GreatBiscuit can put it together with slo-mo and the whole thing. Green screen, if necessary.

Great update Lauren! Love all the photos! Can't wait for more....:)

Thanks loveall!

Just imagine walking along the sidewalk next to that building while someone is up there mowing. :lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

Not something you see every day.

Another great chapter :)

That view really is something. That grass was pretty odd too, although I hear that the next generation of skyscrapers around the world will try to include stuff like that in the design.

Goin' green I guess.

I had to laugh at the statue of liberty though. What a great costume!

Trying to get a buck from the tourists, is what others have said.

You're doing a great job with the formatting of course.

Missed out on the Judy game...obviously in retialiation over the movie quote game. :lmao:

Ah, you know me, I'm too lazy to hold a grudge.

Judging from the pictures, I must agree.

:thumbsup2

No, Lauren! Don't do it! You still have to go to Disney World!

Goodbye cruel world!!

That wouldn't have stopped us from taking 70 more pictures. :rotfl2:

In today's digital world, what's another bunch of 0's and 1's??

0 Judy's !!!:rotfl2:

Say what?

Am I the only one that, at first glance, thought this was a picture of a shower head in use?

No, that would look like this:
img_1567.jpg

I thought this TR was going a little "Psycho".

Mother, she's just a stranger. She's hungry, and it's raining out! :scared:

What is that? A suit change right there at the pool?

::yes::

Here is the story - I will have to go back and find the pictures. PB is saying I moved them and from work it is blocked- which is new-

The Ryan Lochte story - From 5-5 -10 MeMoms Mother may thread page 86 post #1268

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ok Ladies, and you guys who appreciate this sort of thing.

Here I am at the Ultra Swim swim meet doing my thing. My thing is to watch the swimmers at the turn end of the pool to make sure they conform to all the rules of swimming for that stroke. At this level of competition, I am decoration.

At this level of competition, the judging is a bit more formal. I am seated and as the swimmer approaches the wall I have to stand, approach the edge of the pool and stand one foot forward and watch. As soon as the swimmer finishes the turn I turn and go back to my seat.

That being said, and explained, here I am doing my thing.... I see Ryan along the side of the pool talking to a coach, being stopped by girls for pictures etc. He makes his way across and stops NEXT to me. I mean literally this

31286_390677732849_8074322_n-1.jpg

is 6 inches from my shoulder.

Ok no problem I am here to do a job.

Then the towel comes out! Yes he wraps a towel around himself and I know what is coming next!
You see, some of these guys don't do locker rooms to change. They do a deck change, meaning.... yup changing right there on deck.

So now at some point out of the corner of my eye He turns a bit towards me to remove his suit. Then again, out of the corner of my eye I see the blue undies come out of his bag.

31286_390677732849_8074322_n-1.jpg

yes the ones pictured here.

Then he puts those on and well like most guys do .... adjust. I am trying real hard to focus on the job I am there to do.

Just then a swimmer is coming ... great now I need to make it to the edge of the pool and not fall in ... oh yeah and watch the turn.

This
31286_390677732849_8074322_n-1.jpg

was just 6 inches from me!!!!!!

Who does this happen to!

By the way here is the whole package- so to speak

This was when he has the shaggy hair.

He is with my friend Christy who works at the Aquatic Center. While I am trapped poolside she gets to go outside and get a picture

Well there you have it. I was pretty much flashed by Ryan Lochte.

Thanks Pat for the pictures! I do have to say I like him better with the clean cut look, but of course the abs look good either way.

I'm subbing in! I have seen you commenting on Cynthia's TRs and just came across this. I love it! I have been to NY a few times for work and we never had a lot of time to do touristy stuff. This is really making me want to go back. Love the pictures from Top of the Rock.

Gorgeous pictures from the Top of the Rock. What a great tour!

I love Lauren's enthusiasm about the sculptures.

Great. Having thought the trip report took a strange turn, I have now caused it to take a strange turn.

Not any stranger than Pat took it. :faint:

:cool1: Cool! A Jeopardy version of the Movie Quote game!!!!!

What makes it a Jeopardy version? Move first, then quote? That's not too difficult with IMDB.

Thanks for the info.

Here is the story -

No, really -- a simple "yes" or "no" will do.

I will have to go back and find the pictures. PB is saying I moved them and from work it is blocked- which is new-

Seriously, don't go to any trouble.

Photobucket is right. Work has a good policy.

The Ryan Lochte story

Augh! Here we go...

You realize you posted the same picture 3, no 4 times, right? :sad2:

I want to see the pictures!:dance3:

No, it's really not necessary.

No need for pictures...I have a wonderful mental image. :rotfl2:

Thank you Jill...you're talkin' sense!

Oh, you just HAD to ask didn't you............ :rolleyes2

See what you started!!! :sad2:

I'm sorry Marv. I naively thought she would just give a brief explanation. Now in hindsight, I realize she was baiting me -- is it too late to edit my post where I asked the question???

i do agree with marv this round on his winning guess...i would have been right there, but was on a family vacation for hte last 4 days so missed out on this update.

I hope it was worth it. ;) (Just kidding, I'm sure it was a great time.)

Getting her to keep writing is almost as hard as writing it myself! She leaves for college soon, so needs to get another day and a half written.

Found this online- Here he is in action.

:offtopic:

I fell for it again....thought it was going to be a swimming picture. :sad2:

Yes, it was probably a once-in-a-lifetime event. You'd better hope so!

Thanks Pat for the pictures! I do have to say I like him better with the clean cut look, but of course the abs look good either way.

I'm subbing in! I have seen you commenting on Cynthia's TRs and just came across this. I love it!

:yay: :welcome: Sunset Cliffs! Any friend of Cynthia's is a friend of mine. I'm glad you're enjoying it. :)

I have been to NY a few times for work and we never had a lot of time to do touristy stuff. This is really making me want to go back. Love the pictures from Top of the Rock.

Hopefully you picked up on the fact that it's my daughter, Lauren, writing this part of the TR since I wasn't along for that portion....but I answer comments/questions as best I can

Next time you're there, you should try to hit a tourist spot or two. Going to the Top of the Rock looks like something a business traveler could squeeze in after a days' work.

Gorgeous pictures from the Top of the Rock. What a great tour!

Thanks Dee. I think it's kinda funny about the pictures of this NYC excursion. Judy is happy to let me take all of the pictures when we travel...and of the kids, Lauren similarly, is the least likely to want to take any. They knew I demanded pictures, so there must have been some kind of stand-off as to who was going to have to take them, and Lauren lost. :rotfl2:

I love Lauren's enthusiasm about the sculptures.

I think it helped immensely that they had a tourguide who gave them some info. about the sculptures and some interesting things about them. I'm glad she was enthusiastic about them too!
