City, Sand, and Savanna - Link to new trip report

Just keeping up with the chatter !! I was sooo surprised how much I liked Forbidden Journey !! Yes me Rosie the wimp of all wimps LOVED it !!!:rotfl2:We also stayed off site but had no trouble getting to see all we wanted too!! I took the secret short cut to HP world and we were able to get on HP with not toooo long of a wait !! Judy was impressed with my secret !!!:snooty::rotfl2:

A cliff hanger! We wait all this time for an update and we get a cliff hanger! Did James survive by himself? Did Glennbo and family enjoy the ride? Did they get to do it again and see the talking pictures and Dumbledoor's office?

Looking forward to hearing the rest of your thoughts on Universal. Enjoying the pix as it reminds me of how much fun we had on our visit there two years ago. Trying to talk DD into going in March for the 4 days left of her spring break after her lacrosse games are over. We had a great time at Disney with her and her friends at fall break I think we should do it again. Unfortunately I think we will probably end up at Siesta Key. Of well.

Looking forward to more!

Mary Kay

Hate to admit it, but I can't wait to read more about your time at Universal!!! We won't go until DD is older and TALLER, but I do look forward to it to a certain degree. Mostly for the Harry Potter stuff - I'm excited for DD to read those books and see those movies in a few years. And then off to Universal we'll go.

I have heard terrible things about GPS in the whole Disney/Universal area, so it's not surprising that it didn't know what it was doing, I guess. :scared:

Hmm, Horton was a good one. I was always more partial to instilling my child with the communist-undertones of Yertle, however. ;)

It's been a really long time since I cracked open Photoshop in service of a TR. But how could I resist this?

WW looks amazing. I can't wait to go there someday...I'm a huge fan of the books. The whole locker thing is totally intimidating, though. Seems like there should be a better way.

Love it:rotfl2::rotfl2:

Great job Norybell, that was perfect!!

Nice job with your Seuss inspired limerick. I still can cite the entire The Foot Book by Seuss that I read to my kids when they were little tykes. Fun stuff.

I have yet to make it to US Orlando with WWoHP so I'm enjoying this part of your TR. US rivals Disney Imagineers it looks like for the theming and details. It definitely makes the books and movies come alive. :thumbsup2

Argh! The lockers! I've heard stories.... (at least Rob's)

I try to reply to comments in order, but I had to pop in to say thanks for this -- it's awesome!!! I had to show my family! It's hilarious! Thank you Nory! :rotfl2: :)

Great update, Glenn. It was nice seeing all those pictures to the entrance of WW, etc., since we will never see them (we don't do Universal anymore since we can't handle the coasters anymore and just not worth the price for us). This was the first I'd read of the lockers by WW so your details are much better than everyone else's I've read thus far. ;)

I'm all caught up again :cool1:
(I'm so bad at the Dis when I'm planning a trip, I get sad about how far out mine is lol)

I'm excited we're finally to the WW part. SOMEDAY I'll have a Disney trip long enough to justify leaving property and seeing Harry Potter world. It looks absolutely amazing. Dat Castle

Great update and pics. We will be at Universal Sunday and I cannot wait.

The Incredibles.

+1 :thumbsup2

I think this effort is worthy of the world-famous Captain_Oblivious No-Prize.©

:thumbsup2

It really is world famous. ::yes::

I had resisted for a while because I looked at them sitting on the shelf, taking up about 3 feet of width or so, and wondered what kind of commitment it was going to take.

I know what you mean...yet I read all of Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan books with no problem at all, and some of those are as thick as a dictionary.

I can always count on you to have an appropriate smiley handy.

I went looking for that in order to reply to your post and fortunately, it wasn't too hard to find. :)

all you had to do was bring me a little bag of maui onion chips and let me eat the crumbs and i would have been happy.

Hey, maui onion chips all around!

Just keeping up with the chatter !! I was sooo surprised how much I liked Forbidden Journey !!

Spoiler --> we liked it too.

All right, spill it. I don't know any secret short cut!

A cliff hanger! We wait all this time for an update and we get a cliff hanger!

:rotfl2: Sorry about that! Hey, how else am I going to keep these readers coming back?

Did James survive by himself? Did Glennbo and family enjoy the ride? Did they get to do it again and see the talking pictures and Dumbledoor's office?

All good questions!

Hey, sounds good to me. It may not be Disney, but sun and fun. :beach:

I know, you feel like you're betraying Uncle Walt a little bit, don't you? Oh well, it's great to have so many attractions in the area so that you can make each trip a little different.

I have heard terrible things about GPS in the whole Disney/Universal area, so it's not surprising that it didn't know what it was doing, I guess. :scared:

::yes:: I've read similar stories to mine on a couple of other TRs.

Hmm, Horton was a good one. I was always more partial to instilling my child with the communist-undertones of Yertle, however. ;)

:rotfl2: Seuss said that it was about Hitler, so fascism really, but close enough! One of my favorites is "What was I scared of", which was a story in the Sneetches book. I really hammed it up, reading that one! :)

Great job Norybell, that was perfect!!

She did a great job didn't she?! I loved it too! :rotfl:

Nice job with your Seuss inspired limerick. I still can cite the entire The Foot Book by Seuss that I read to my kids when they were little tykes. Fun stuff.

I think that I enjoyed some of those stories more than my kids did! Those were good times, reading to the kids. :goodvibes (And then putting them to bed and having the rest of the evening to ourselves!) :rotfl2:

The WWoHP part is particularly amazing. Definitely worth a visit.

His version was spot-on. I think I said in a post to him that I just wanted to write "what he said".

Glad you like it!

:thumbsup2 :goodvibes

I know exactly what you mean, and I'll get to some of that in a later chapter. ;)

This was the first I'd read of the lockers by WW so your details are much better than everyone else's I've read thus far. ;)

Rob, aka DisneyKid4Life, had a similar experience to mine and wrote about it in his TR also. It's just unbelievably hectic. :scared:

I'm all caught up again :cool1:

Hey Sam!

(I'm so bad at the Dis when I'm planning a trip, I get sad about how far out mine is lol)

I know what you mean -- we aren't planning our next WDW visit until 2015, so I'm not really into reading about magic bands and such. But when the time comes, I'm going to be such a noob.

I'm excited we're finally to the WW part. SOMEDAY I'll have a Disney trip long enough to justify leaving property and seeing Harry Potter world. It looks absolutely amazing. Dat Castle

It's really cool, and worth a visit.

Great update and pics. We will be at Universal Sunday and I cannot wait.

Thanks Scott.

What a great time to go -- have a fantastic time! Enjoy the decorations and Osborne Lights.

Just saying  I am sure you are busy.

Hope your Thanksgiving was fabulous and you are staying warm with all your snow.

Maybe a snow day soon?

Great start to your day!

I've only ever been to the the Universal Orlando park so it's really cool to see pics of you walking through Islands of Adventure.

How long was the Regular line, do you remember?

Can't wait to hear more!

1 week from today I will be in Disney !!

That's awesome! I'm jealous. And since I took so long to reply, you're probably back already?

Just saying  I am sure you are busy.

Thanks Pat! :wave2: Yeah, we traveled quite a bit over Thanksgiving, traipsed back and forth across PA a couple of times, then as soon as I got back to work it was my busy time. :faint:

Yes, Thanksgiving was a good time. :goodvibes

We actually did have a snow day this past Tuesday. Well, I mean the kids and Judy had off from school, and I "worked"* ;) from home. I posted this picture of my backyard on Instagram:

* Actually, I really did! Too busy to play hooky.

Great start to your day!

Thanks Yuki! Hey, great to see you! I know you've told me this before, but where are you now? China?

I've only ever been to the the Universal Orlando park so it's really cool to see pics of you walking through Islands of Adventure.

Can't wait to hear more!

I'll have a wait-time update in my next chapter, but I won't make you wait for it...it was just under an hour.

That's awesome! I'm jealous. And since I took so long to reply, you're probably back already?

Yup she got back later on Tuesday...... Now she is playing catch up.

Thanks Pat! :wave2: Yeah, we traveled quite a bit over Thanksgiving, traipsed back and forth across PA a couple of times, then as soon as I got back to work it was my busy time. :faint:

So good to hear life is just busy.

Great snow pictures, It seems to have missed us here but for now I am okay with that.

Sorry you had to watch it through the window around your computer. ;)
