We will be at WDW May 19th -24th for our DD's 3rd birthday. We are doing the DDP and want to do one Signature dining dinner. We are staying at the Grand Floridian and would like to choose between Citrico's, Narcoosee's and California Grill. We enjoy fine dining and typically lean towards seafood (some type of fish, rather than shrimp or lobster) or red meat (steak, lamb, veal). Since we can only do one, which do you recommend and why? Keep in mind we will have DD - 3, but she has been eating in restaurants since she was 4 days old and is well behaved and will try almost anything.

So, which would you choose?

Thanks for your advice!!

All are fine restaurants, and I'm not making my choice because I have had a negative experience at any. But, I think in your situation, I would choose Narcoossee's. I imagine you've looked at the menus of all three and found them to be acceptable. I chose Narcoossee's because of the location. There's a lot to look at out those windows for you and your daughter, plus, depending on your timing, you may be able to enjoy both Wishes and the Electrical Water Parade. Like the CA Grill, they bring down the lights and pipe the music into the restaurant. If it's a nice evening, you also have the option of watching the parade and fireworks from the deck. You'll have a great meal at whichever one you select.

I agree with PP. All are fantastic, but Narc's has more kid friendly options and the establishment is more kid friendly. Cits and CG are more adult oriented menu and venvue wise. But you won't go wrong at any of these really.

I suspect Citricos might not be kid-friendly. Their service can be somewhat pretentious. We ate their after spending a day in Magic Kingdom. My DH forgot he was wearing a baseball cap and was asked to remove it in a way that made him feel like a heel. On the other hand, I love Narcoossees.

Citricos is completely child friendly as are the other two. The atmosphere at Citricos can be more quiet than the other but it sounds like your little girl will be fine at all three.

All three have options that fit your palate. It is fun to look out the windows at Narcoossee's. Based on that, it might be a great fit for you.

Thanks for your help! I had originally scheduled Citrico's, but am now thinking it might make sense to switch to Narcoosee's. What time should I try to schedule dinner so that we can see Wishes or the Electric Parade?

In order of how good the restaurant is--Citricos, California Grill, Narcoossee's.
If a view and fireworks enter into the picture, then Citrico's becomes last..and as BCV23 suggests, it's the most quiet of the 3.

As noted all are fine for kids and you can't go too wrong at any of them.

I'm not sure which night you're scheduled to celebrate, but check the calendar at www.wdwmagic.com for the time for Wishes. Typically the water parade passes GFlor around 9:15pm but that can fluctuate a little depending on the time of the fireworks. If Wishes are at 9pm, I would schedule dinner around 8:30. Servers tend to allow "viewing time" in the progression of dinner. I hope you have a magical celebration. Let us know how it went, please.

We like all 3 and they are all kid friendly. CG is very loud. Citricos is quieter so we decided to take DS and DD to Narcooses this summer.:goodvibes
Have a great trip!

May have a time getting Cali Grille at that time this close to the date. Narcooses may be your best bet.

Yes I would definetly recommend Narcoossees as well. I wouldn't go to CG, I couldn't stand the food there.

I seem to be in the minority here, but I much prefer CG to Narcoosees. I find Narcoosees to be a bit chaotic, and the meal was underwhelming.

Haven't tried Citricos, so I can't speak to that.

I will say I have seen kids at both CG and Narcoosees.

My sister & I are OBSESSED with CG! We've just made it a tradition at this point to go every time we're in Disney.
The view is unbeatable obviously, but besides that we have NEVER had a bad experience there. The food has always been outstanding, the service and ambience have never been anything short of impeccable. We always look forward to going back.

And just a suggestion, if ur on a tight budget or aren't necessarily intrigued by the menu and are going to be eating elsewhere in the MK vacinity, I suggest atleast stopping up at the lounge for a nice sunset drink before or after ur meal. We've done that too and it's a nice little dose of the CG experience. :wizard:

I'd definitely pick CG or Citricos over Narcoosees any day. Both are good - it's really a matter of what experience you want. CG is more lively and you have the view as well. Citricos is perhaps a little bit better on food (but it's very close) and the atmosphere is a little bit less lively...but not quiet/sedate. If you want sushi, then CG would win. Both are in my top 5.

We've been to all three with small kids. My favorite of the three, based on food quality, is Citrico's by a country mile. That said, the other two are more distracting for the younger ones. Our food at CG was pretty disappointing and our meal at Narcoossee's was wonderful which seems different than many others' experiences.

If you like fish the crispy whole yellow-tail snapper at Narcoossees is amazing!! The presentation is fantastic and it is so delicious! My fiance had the surf and turf there and thought it was just so-so. But I would go back in heart beat just for that fish! :)

We took DD5 to Narcoosee's in January. The service and food were wonderful. We had a window table with a view of the castle. There seemed to be kids at almost every table. I can't wait to return on our next trip :thumbsup2

I think the food at Citricos and Cali Grill is MUCH better than Narcoossee's.
My favorite is Citricos because they have the best service and I really enjoy the Mediterranean cuisine and calmer atmosphere. But Cali Grill is wonderful and a very close second choice for me.

Thanks for the advice we are going to Narcosse's and CF on our trip and scheduled during Wishes:)
