I think Narcoossee's is more popular for the simple reason that they have a better view (Seven Seas lagoon, fireworks, and electrical water pageant). And as a pp mentioned, their menu is a bit simpler and appeals to more people.

I've been to both and I think Citricos is MUCH better. My favorite WDW restaurant in fact. I am actually glad they don't have a view or some big draw other than the food because it's always easy to get an ADR for, so even on a last minute trip, I know I can always eat there.

What I like to do is make my reservation about 2 hrs before the fireworks are scheduled. Then when I finish my amazing meal, I can walk down to the dock and see the show.

Is there a view from Citricos?

There are a few tables that have a VERY limited view of SOME of the fireworks. But they do not pipe in the music. The view at Citricos is of landscaping, other buildings, and the pool.

I love Citrico's and make plans for it on every visit. I only book Narcoossee's if I have a longer vacation and need to use up my dining credits. In my opinion, the only reason to make an effort to go to Narcoossee's is for the almond crusted cheesecake!

I've never been to either of them. But for this upcoming trip, we booked a dinner at Narcoossee's, based on the menus. Then again, we're simple folk - the sophistication of Duck Confit and Seared Tofu are lost on the likes of us.



But hey, look at it this way - that leaves ADRs available for those with more discerning palates.

We have only eaten at Citrico's between the two mentioned restaurants. We, too, have had mediocre food there. The table next to us that night didn't think that their food was that good either. I guess that it must have been an off night based on the great reviews of Citrico's here.
