Looking for a great meal for our Oct. trip. Went to Narcossees lsat time and really enjoyed it. If we decide on Ca Grill would probably make ressies during the fireworks, but that is not really important. Just looking for a good meal. Just DW and I are going,so a little romantic atmoshere would't hurt. Any suggestions.

Thank you,
Peanut

In all honesty Peanut, if you're looking for a really good meal I would not go to either Citricos or CA Grill. My experiences at both restaurants (yes, I have been a couple times) have been underwhelming. If you don't mind traveling off Disney Property I would suggest Emeril's, Tchop Tchop, and have heard really good things about Roy's. I've yet to find a disney restaurant in the same caliber as those I listed. I'm glad you felt Narcosees was good though. I am planning on dining there my next visit!

I would definitly say CA Grill. We ate at Citricos and CA Grill last year and absolutly loved the food at CA Grill. The food at Citricos was okay and the deserts were great but overall the atmosphere and menu was better at CA Grill. I thought that Citricos menu was just not as extensive and the pork chops I got were dry. I've heard mixed reviews about the viewing the fireworks from the CA Grill but the restaurant is worth it even without the fireworks.

We ate at Citricos the other week and really enjoyed it, well except for the Citrus Infused Martini (YUK).... but the food was excellent and I rather enjoyed the atmosphere. We didn't ask for it, but we were seated along the window facing MK. We were there late and even had a slightly obstructed view of the fireworks. It was rather nice.

I'm debating where to go in October, whether to try Narcossees, CA Grill, or to go back to Citricos. I've been on a kick to try new places, so I'll be watching reviews for these over the next few months.

I have not had a bad meal at either place. Citricos is a little more quiet than CG. It can get hard to hear if you are seated next to a large party at CG. I don't think you can go wrong at either place. Enjoy!

I have eaten at both places... I felt the service, food and decor was more to my liking at Citrico's...When we ate at CG, I felt the server was just a little too flippant for my liking and food too, how to explain, architectural and pleasing to the eye, but not excellent.

I do like to be wowed on the food and found that Citrico's has done that for me in the past.

I have eaten at Emeril's as well. I will say one time it was incredible....Emeril was there that day, the second time it was good. If you do go and if they still have it, have the banana cream pie for dessert. Yummy!!!

I haven't been to Citrico but our meal at CG last trip was wonderful. The service was excellent, the food was delicious and the view of Wishes was great. We went out on to the balcony to see Wishes. I have heard that they pipe the music into the restaurant now, so if you are seated by the window, you could stay. I would still recommend going outside, though. It's very romantic, and when we went, it wasn't crowded at all.

Are you looking for quiet and romantic where you can kind of tuck away in the corner and sneak a few smooches in when nobody's looking? If so then Ca Grill is not the place. In the prime section for viewing the firewoks, It's about as noisy as Narcoosee's. Although I will say my wife thought the whole experience with the fireworks and the food and the view was quite romantic. Just not the type described above. It gets much more quiet after the fireworks though than before. We loved it and had a great time.

Still on their menu (it is their signature desert).

I would have to agree with all of what he said. Tchoup Chop is a great place as is Emeril's Orlando. I have not been to Roy's in Orlando, but have been to several of his restaurant's in HI and enjoyed my experiences there.

Preffered CA Grill personally, I found Citricos to be far too ordinary.

Other people will disagree, but I felt the best 'high end' meal was at Wolfgang Puck's Dining Room (Downtown Disney).

We have been to both your choices one time each. We also eat at Narcoosees every trip.

I was not wow-ed at Citricos. We will try it again, and the atmosphere was nice (comfy chairs, lol!) but the food was boring, and just OK. Not amazing as I expected after hearing so many here love it so. I look forward to going back there though.

However--California Grill was awesome! I loved the food, loved the atmosphere, and our server was very nice. Can't say anything about the fireworks as we did not stay for them. We did take a walk out onto the outdoor viewing area and it was really cool. We will be going back here twice next trip. :thumbsup2

I don't think you can go wrong at either place really. If I had to choose, it would be CG, but Citricos will be good too.

We have eaten at both and IMHO hands down Citricos is my choice every time. CG has great food with a great wine list, but Citricos just had more of what we wanted out of the experience.

We just ate at Citricos on Easter Sunday, and it was incredible. We will be posting a review with pictures of our experience here soon, watch for it!!

Hope you have a great time and a great dining experience. :goodvibes

Never ate at Citricos, but California Grill is amazzzzzzing.
