Citricos, Artist Point or California Grill?

I would love to hear this one as well...we have an anniversary coming up.

I love them all

1st Artist point
2 citricos
3 california Grill

I love all of them for different reasons, good food, great service all around 10 thumbs up :rotfl

I think Artist Point has the most romantic atmosphere of the three and has good food. Citricos gets raves around here for its food - I can't personally attest to that because I haven't been there in awhile.

California Grill can serve excellent food, is one of my favorites but seems to me to be sometimes inconsistent, and in any case its setting is a little too bright and bustling for most people to consider it romantic.

I think Citricos has best atmosphere and food. Artist Point is more "hearty" than I like for a special meal. Window views are nice though. Ca Grill has become a noisy zoo unless you dine after the fireworks.

I have never been to Citricos, so I can't comment on that one, but I think that California Grill is much better than Artist Point. We spent 7 days at WDW last year and AP was the worst restaurant we ate at, by far. The food was just so-so and we had the most inattentive waiter we have ever had at WDW. We did, however, love CG.

I've been to all 3 and I think the best choice is Citricos. It has the best food, best service, and is fairly quiet and romantic.

Artist Point can be romantic as well, but I don't think the food was as good as Citricos.

CG is great, but I would never call it romantic.

Citricos and Artist Point are MUCH quieter than California Grill. As much as I love CG, I wouldn't call it romantic at all - it is too busy, too noisy, and too popular with families. I thought Artist Point was beautifully romantic without being pretentious or stuffy, but we haven't yet been to Citricos so I can't draw any comparisons there.

As usual, I agree with Pakey.

Cali Grill has the best food of the three. It is the noisiest, but then the fireworks out on the patio is pretty romantic, I would think, but I'm a guy, so what do I know?

Citricos is the "fanciest" atmosphere of the three (aided by the fact that you have to walk through the GF lobby to get to it), but the food is uneven. Of the four times we've eaten there, twice it's been great, twice just "so so".

Artist Point is very rustic, woodsy, etc., like a fancy hunting lodge. We thought the food and service were the worst of any of the signatures we've been to, and we've been to all except Yachtmen's. Still a good meal, and the adult mac and cheese was fantastic, but everything else was very unremarkable. We'll probably give it a second try on our next trip, though.

Which is more romantic for an engagement trip? (for DD and her FH)

Of the three I would say AP is the most romantic, followed by CG and then Citricos; however, for my $$ the most romantic restaraunt at the world is V & A.

Don't you mean "for my $$$$$"? ;)

I have yet to go to Citrico's, but I like Artist Point more than California Grill. CG is a bit inconsistent and can get loud. However, if you plan it right and get a window seat, it's amazing watching the fireworks there.

Artist Point has a more rustic feeling to it and I've always had good food there. In fact one of my all time favorite meals was at Artist Point.

OP, another suggestion is to arrange for private dining at the GF. My youngest son did this to propose to his girlfriend. They had a private table on one of the balconies. Their menu choices were from the Citricos menu. He said it was very nice (and not quite as expensive as V&A).

Have never been to AP, but we are huge fans of Citricos. love the food, service, and atmosphere. California Grill food was very good each time we have been there, but it is noisy and not at all romantic in my book.

Between the three, I'd say that CG is the least romantic. Yes, the fireworks are great but you're there for an entire meal, not just the fireworks.

AP & Citrico's are wonderful rooms that lend themselves to a nice quiet meal. Afterward, walking around the grounds (especially at WL), and catching the Electric Water Pageant adds to the whole evening.
