Citricos....a review...the food, the wine, Navan and a cast of thousands

I'm so glad your back doing a food review.

Whenever you did your last V&A review (which was a while ago) was the day I decided dh and I had to go there. So in December we finally got to go to V&A and it wsa excellent, amazing, wonderful. Oh my gosh to die for food and drinks. Plus the service was outstanding. I can't wait to go back in Sept. And all b/c I read your wonderful review. I really hope you do reviews of your other V&A experiences so we can all relive them with you.

Spankings all around for Mr. Disney and the K-Man for leaving us for so long!

Now that the spankings are over, AWESOME report and I've missed you guys :lovestruc

That ribeye looks to die for, it's my favorite cut of meat too :worship:

:sad2: :sad2: SPANKINGS ARE OVER? :sad2: :sad2:

What a review! Is Citrico's introducing all this goodness into their new menu?

Mister Disney and K-Man, can I please vacation with you guys? :teeth:

If they still have this on the menu is September, it's definatly what I'll be ordering.

No kidding. I'd be sitting there saying, "I'll have what he's having." It won't matter if it's Bob or Kevin. I'm sure either one of them will be served the "good stuff".

I'm so glad you guys are back. I was starting to worry about you! :)
Now, carry on with the food porn and spankings.... not necessarily in that order. :woohoo:

Hi Mister Disney:wave2: Found you over at the Food Porn thread and decided to check out your awesome reviews. Loved Citricos and can't wait to read more.

Thanks for the review.......I have to tell you that Citrico's is my fave restaurant, the servers are incredible. I see that you had Gwen, isn't she amazing, it was her night off when we were there, but the server we had in her place, he was just over the top with great service, laughs, and so attentive.

I live in the Boston area and I have to say that Citrico's, in my opinion, compares with some of the fine restaurants we have in the city...

Anyway, love the review, love the pics.. and cannot wait to go back to WDW to enjoy fine dining again at Citrico's....

GWEN .... OMG .... she's totally unflappable!

Let's just say, if AAA was in Citricos March 16, 2008, they would have truly given out a multiple Diamond Award for her personification of "patience"!

Since AAA wasn't there, Mister Disney and I would like to present Gwen the
Mrs. Potts Award for Excellence in Service

Fabulous!

But then, would we expect anything less? :thumbsup2

Thank you for the lesson on confit - as Lori stated earlier I am something of a food ignoramus and I referred to my confit as a duckstick in a review.

And I loved reading about the Grand Marnier and the Navan (which is now on my list of appealing alcohol to track down and purchase).

Your entire meal looked and sounded incredible - I can't wait unitl October which is when the hubby and I will finally have a chance to try Citricos. Thanks so much for sharing this with us all! :goodvibes

:flower3: So glad that your back to posting. Your reviews are my absolute favorite to read. I am actually a Florida resident and visit Disney all the time, but it's always neat to read your reviews. Welcome back.

:welcome: back!!!!
I am :jumping1: for joy that you guys have returned!

Fabulous review, but we wouldn't expect anything less!

Thanks for coming back to help us poor souls learn the Art of Fine Disney Dining! :worship:

I sure would love to hear about your meal at Yachtsman! ;) ;)

History from Sommelier extraordinaire, Israel Perez from V&A is that the very 1st bottle produce during a vintage year is given to the current sitting Pope of the Catholic Church, and that it is kept on their nightstand for an evening nightcap.

Ok I'm not Catholic but where so I sign up to become Pope???
