Hi all,
One of my best friends is pregnant with her first child. Last week her doctor referred her to the hospital for an extra ultrasound , because she had some doubts about how the placenta looked.
Today was that ultrasound. The baby is doing well, growing like it should, all bits and pieces are there. Only they did tell her she has a circumvallate placenta.
What I read online, the biggest risk is for the baby to be born too early. I know Google is a terrible thing with medical conditions, always scaring you way more than necessary. Anyone here who has experience with this kind of placenta? Any comforting words or advice; besides, do not Google?
I've already been assigned to become the Disney-"aunt" for this new arrival. It'll be up to me to take the child to the parks and take care of Disney knowledge ;-)
