Circle of Life 5K

They have even created pins for the 5K this year. I just ordered 2 myself

I signed up with the Goofy so all ready for the Dopey again

Wow. $40 for a 5k? That just seems like alot to me. Most half's are not much more than that.

Doesn't mean I won't do it though.

I don't know my plans yet for January, but I haven't done a 5K yet at WDW. I really would like to do one even tho it costs more it should.

I got a deal as on the orginal mail in DVC app offered the race for only $25 I saved a fair amount for both Linda and I

It's is the Dopey as Ann gave us our award after this year

Robert--Have they had pe-sales for half marathon pins? I think they originally had Goofy and marathon pins, now the 5K. I haven't seen any for the half though.

I haven't seen them. I just have to remember to pick them up at the expo. One of 1st items I get.

Liz, I just went to ask DH if we could do this one, too, and he said, "Are Liz and Pat" and I jumped in and said, "YES! They are already registered!" So he said go ahead and sign up. And get pins.

So we'll be there!

I hope they have a way for either late pick up like they did this weekend for the 5K or that they will allow us to have it picked up for us, since I don't think I'll be able to get there by 8 pm on Thursday--I have to work that day! (Maybe we'll have to do that thing where I send DH down on an early flight and I bring myself later, but I hate that one).

I just showed him the Disneyland half, and he said, "Well, it's in California, so that's already a 'no' because of the airfare..."

I was thinking about it but then again I don't want the plastic looking medal.

Yes, it is the Family Fun run so you will get one of those rubber medals. I like the one this year.

You can have someone pickup packets for races if you give them a note, signed waiver, and copy of ID. You can email DisneySports@Emmi.com for an electronic waiver(normal you get it at the race packet pickup).

LOL! Tracey--he probably would have but I cut him off! He loved hanging out with you and your mom. He's very shy (despite what some people saw at Jellyrolls!), and he was so comfortable hanging out and meeting you and all the WISH team. He's deciding on a screen name and will be here soon!

It depends on where you heard it first -- The Disney Deads list referred to it as the Dopey and Robert and I (and some others) refer to it that way. Anne even (very kindly and generously) gave us all Dopey pins last year. She's also the person who sometimes refers to it as the Dumbo -- then always corrects herself. (Big hug, Anne.) I have heard one runner refer to the Dumbo as doing the Goofy at WDW then doing another race the following weekend. (Which seems fitting!)

I suppose the Dopey/Goofy thing just stuck because the names are similar.
