Although I have been to Disney many times, I never realized how difficult it was to get into CRT. We missed the prime time to make ressies and now with about 2 months until our trip, every breakfast, lunch, and even dinner is booked. This would not be that big of a deal really but, if you ask my 2 year old what she is going to do at disney she ALWAYS says "eat in the castle". She is really not spoiled but, when I told her we could not, she had the most sad look on her face and just said "ooookkkk". Does anyone have any tips for us or should I just give it up. It is not the characters she wants, it's the castle. We are doing Cindy's @ 1900 Park Fare. Thanks for any help!!!

About the only tip I can offer is to keep calling, every day, maybe twice a day. Cancellations are always a possibility and you might be lucky enough to snag one.

I booked a breakfast there the same week that we arrived. It is possible. Keep calling and it may happen. Good luck. :wizard: :wizard:

I would keep trying. The day you plan on being in the magic kingdom check first thing in the morning. People might cancel their reservations on the same day!

Good luck!

Definately try 48 & 24 hrs in advance. They make you give a credit card to book it & you can cancel I think 48 hrs in advance & get your money back. Alot of people double book to make sure they get it & then cancel. So definately keep trying. At least she is only 2, she will not remember it (other then pictures). You can always go back when she is older & will really appreciate it more.
Good luck!

I got CRT 24 hr before. I kept calling, and it paid out!!! never give up! :flower:

Definitely keep trying, even when you get there. We had breakfast at CRT on a previous visit. I was second in line to check in for our reservation. The man in front of me was asking about any cancellations - he would take anytime available, etc. The CM says, "if you can have your party of four here in an hour we can take you. We had a last minute cancellation!" The man calls his wife on his cell phone and tells them to get over to the castle.

When we were finishing up our breakfast we saw the man and his family come in. His two daughters were just in awe of the castle and the princesses. It was great to watch them as they sat down and took it all in. The look on their faces was priceless.

I told my DH that guy was his family's hero for getting that reservation. My husband laughed and said the man would probably get to golf anytime he wanted for the rest of his trip! Maybe next time he'd do more of the planning!

I do think people cancel....it's popular I know but things come up or they take their first successful reservation but try again for another day that they really want. If they get it they cancel the first one.

Good luck. It really is a great breakfast to do at least once. If you aren't successful for breakfast have you tried for lunch or dinner there? We didn't eat there on this recent trip but I thought they now served three meals there, even if they arent character meals. The castle alone is a beautiful setting.

Looking at your time line, I may can help. When are you planning to be there?

In May 2004 I went with mom. She wanted to eat in the castle, but of course it was booked solid. I booked a 6 pm dinner at LTT. About 10 mins to 5, as soon as a cast member came to the podium (it opened at 5 that day I think, regardless: 10 mins before opening) we asked at CRT about a walk in. She said wait till 5, someone always fails to show up. Sure enough, by around 5:15 we had our dinner at the castle. It's worth a try, and if we didn't get in we still had our back up dinner lined up.

1) Keep trying.
2) Unfortunately it is just going to get even tougher.
3) Even for dinner.
4) With the new (and free) dining plans, the castle is now in demand.
5) Major demand!
6) Those who thought it too expensive, can now do it in their package.
7) Plus, with the new ability of "90+10" days for ressies, it books fast.
8) We wish you good luck with cancellations.
