Cindy's Breakfast advice & encouragement

YAHOO!!! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc
Thank you, thank you, thank you!! I have managed to get them each trip we have gone, but was nervous this trip because the options might have changed when calling....
Those of you who are making plans, this is what I did:
Called the WDW Dining # starting at 6:58, hanging up and redialing when I got message office closed. When the message changed, hit 1 then 1 and got right through to a CM who gave me a PS for 9:05 am for our first full day at WDW!!!! It worked!
Okay, I feel a little warmer now!

You must ahve gotten my 9:05. CM first offered 8 am but this is way too early to get 2 kids and DW moving. I asked for around 9 and he offerred 9:05 then gives me 9:10.

Well, this morning was the first morning I tried and I missed it! I was only hold until 7:19, by then I was pretty sure I wouldn't get it but held anyway and unfortunatly I was right!

Hi Terry, I will be a BWV the same time as you. Good Luck with reservations. If I give my up, I will email you. Lauren

Lauren, Thank you so much that is very sweet of you! I am going ot try calling again the next few mornings and I will call for cancellations of course. I really wanted 4/25, but of course I will take what I can get! Maybe we will see you BWV.

We called WDW-Dine this morning for Cindy's and were greeted with several queries requiring information from us such as our telephone number (twice), zip code, and at one point a query concerning whether this was our first visit to WDW.

My wife accidently indicated that we had been to WDW in the last 4 years and the message responded that we'd be waited on after first-timers to WDW.

Needless to say, we wasted time punching in the various numbers and then we weren't so happy being shoved to the back of the line. (Particularly, since my 5-year-old daughter was not born the last time we were in WDW when we could care less about Cindy's.)

Is this normal for this procedure or did we screw something up?

I followed the advice here and got the time and date I wanted!! YIPPPEEEE!!!!! :cool1: :cheer2: :bounce:

As soon as I heard the right words I hit 1, then 1 and was connected immediately to a person. It probably helps that I wanted a later PS (we are on MST and I think the first ones would be to early for us to eat). I got a 10:30 PS so we can go ride a few rides before we eat.

I have a question.....is there a back way into the castle or do we have to walk all the way around to the front to get into CRT? We plan to ride a few things in Fantsyland first. Sorry first timer here.

Brenda

Fantasyland is where you want to be to enter for CRT breakfast. The back of the castle is behind dumbo and that is where you enter. The restaurant is actually located in the back of the castle.

Just pick option 1 twice. You don't even have to wait for them to ask the questions. They might start with a greeting about long wait times. If they do, you can hit 11 right after they say "understand" and you'll be connected with a real person. If you don't get this message, they will say, "For Victoria and Alberts, press 2, for all others, press 1." As soon as they start that sentence, hit 11. Good luck! I got in on the first try for April 7 at 8:35 am.

PieNBurger Here are all the details, of how to get thru easy. Diznut84 wrote out the littlest detail.

Here you go!

After reading a bunch of threads and getting some helpful (but occasionally conflicting) advice, I decided to write a quick "help sheet" for others who are doing the same.

Here is the process I recommend:

1) Determine the date that you can make your Cindy's reservation. Go to the DIS Priority Seating calculator and verify the earliest calling date for the dates that you can attend (90 days prior). Realize that there is a VERY good chance that you will be unsuccessful if you only try once. So plan on getting a PS for early in your trip and if you get it, GREAT. If you don't, you can still try the next morning.

2) Have your credit card ready. Disney now requires a credit card guarantee of $10 per adult and $5 per child. The deposit is refundable if you cancel at least 48 hours prior to your reservation.

3) You should only make reservations using the (407) 939-3463 number. The (800) numbers used for Annual Passholders and other services sometimes have delays (as much as 12 seconds) that will seriously hinder your ability to get a Cindy's PS.

4) Syncronize your clock. Go to the official U.S. time clock for great results. I have DSL at home, so I leave the official U.S. clock up on my screen while calling.

5) Get up and 'at 'em! Begin calling at about 6:58am Eastern time. Plan on calling 10-15 times during this two minute period. The range seems to be picking up between 6:58:30am and 6:59:30am. Some people have successfully tried and used multiple phones to get through.

Please note that there are two possible greetings:
a) Thank you for calling Walt Disney World. Our office is closed... (hang up immediately as soon as you hear the words "Our office" and hit redial immediately).
or
b) Thank you for calling Disney dining. At this time, we are experiencing very high call volume. If you have already arrived for your Magical Walt Disney World Vacation, you may visit any resort or theme park Guest Services location, or the podium at any Walt Disney World restaurant to make your dining Priority Seating arrangements. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Once you hear option b, you're in and on hold! Do NOT hang up or you may lose any chance of a ressie! Please note that you cannot select any options while this message is being read. You must wait until the word "understanding" is completed.

After this passage is read (i.e. immediately after the word "understanding" is read), immediately hit the number "1" key twice on your phone.

Here are the options that you are skipping:
If you are calling to make a Priority Seating for Victoria and Alberts at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, please press 2. If not, press 1.

If you are calling from the Orlando area, or to make a reservation for within the next seven days, please press 1. If you are calling to make a reservation for your upcoming trip, press 2.

I don't recommend that you select #2 in the second option because if you select it, you will then be asked to give additional information (i.e. how long it has been since you last visited WDW, how many times you have been to WDW in the past four years, your telephone and/or reservation #). You don't have time for these options, so select #1 as directed above to skip them. After hitting the number "1" key twice on your phone pad as described above, the following line will be read:

Thank you for your time and patience. All of our representatives are currently assisting other guests. We look forward to speaking with you momentarily.

Again, do NOT hang up. Wait for the next available CM. You are almost there! Cross your fingers AND toes!

6) Upon speaking to a "live person", interrupt the CM and blurt out "I need Cindy's, for **insert date**, for x people, any available time". The CRO rep will understand your temporary rudeness, and you'll make up for it later with endless amounts of gratitude... Don't try and pick a specific time. Any delays will seriously hinder your ability to get a PS.

7) Be sure to write down your time and PS #. If your PS is before the park opening, you'll have to present your PS# to get into the park.

Please note that if you can't get a PS for Cinderella's Royal Table, another excellent character breakfast is the Princess Storybook Breakfast at Epcot!

Have any editorial suggestion? Please share!

Good luck to you all!

We have PS for March 6 for a party of 4. My niece is now joing us so I need PS for 5. I have tried calling to see if we can add 1 additional person to no avail. Has anyone ever just shown up on the day of their PS and been able to add an additional person? The children are 3, 6, and 7. The 3 year old will probably just sit on my lap anyway so do you think that they would let us in with the PS for 4? If anyone is cancelling for March 6 a party of 2 up to a party of 5 would you let me know. Thanks. :)

I saw someone do this when we were there this summer. The dad decided he wanted to join the group. They let him in. I would worry only because if they said "no" the children wouldn't probably take it very well as a parent.

Thank you. I thought about that too. If they say "no" then my husband said he will give up his spot for my niece. It is worth a try though. I think we'll just show up provided we are unable to get a seat prior to this time.

Red71 thanks for taking the time to respond to my post. Indeed, re-reading the detailed info from DizNut84 helped and exposed some mistakes we were making from secondary sources.

The good news is we got an 8:05 seating this morning for April 27th so my queen and little princess are happy gals. Thanks again.

Thanks for your help also. The key was punching the number 1 twice at the first available opportunity.

I just tried for the Norway breakfast with no luck. The disney dining guy asked if I wanted him to check Cinderella's just in case - I laughed and said sure but I was sure there was no way. (we're less than 60 days out). He had two tables for 4 available on Friday, April 1! I took one of them.... and made sure it was no April Fool's joke! I am absolutely amazed I could get Cindy's but not Norway! My DD10 will be in shock. So keep calling if you are not at first successful! Good Luck!

Okay guys, really dumb question, but I really need an answer. :teeth: I know that is is almost impossible to get CRT PS's under 20 days out, but can you just walk in and wait or does this particular restaurant only take PS's? I'm guessing so, since there is so much fuss. Thanks in advance and I'm sorry I'm such an amateur! :)

Hi Mom, the CRT cancellation policy is 24 hours or else you are charged a deposit fee. My suggestion is call everyday, at different times, you never know, plans change & kids get sick. Also, you might want to try 1900 park fare for Dinner (Cinderella & Prince Charming & mice) LOL :cheer2:
