Ok please don't stone me to death with my following question. :) Is the food worth it? We have never been and I feel that it is something that is a must but after looking at the menu not sure if there is anything my DD(14) or I would like. My DH will eat about anything so he thinks it all sounds good. I am trying to decide where to book and just can't decide.

No stoning here...

We went in November of 2011 for breakfast. It was not worth the $$$$$$.

We went in the Spring of 2003 for breakfast. Well worth the $$$$$$.

It's something that if you are contemplating it, you should go, just to say you've done it.

Remember that at CRT you're not paying that kind of money to get better food. You're paying for the castle and the princesses. The food quality reflects that.

It's not terrible, inedible or even bad but if you're going in expecting exceptional food for the price, you won't get it.

We went for breakfast and really didn't think it was worth the money. I didn't think the food was very good. My kids have never asked to go back.

We have had lunch there several times and have enjoyed the food (with the understanding that you're paying more for the experience). I'm a little nervous, though, as it appears the menu has just changed. DH loved Major Domo's Favorite Pie and I don't see that listed anymore.

Thanks. I think I will add it to the ADR's. My next question is do I book breakfast, lunch or dinner?

The food isn't particularly special. I don't think it is horrible. It is good, but it isn't worth the price you are charged. With that being said, I have eaten here many times and have an ADR scheduled for our May trip. It is a fun experience. We usually do breakfast.

I've eaten there three times. The first two times, the experience was great, but the food was just average. The third time I was completely disappointed in the food. If you are looking for the atmosphere of the castle and have the money to spend, then you should give it a try. Personally, I think your money or dining plan vouchers will be better spent elsewhere.

I thought the food was good, not out of this world amazing but good. If I were paying that price for a regular restaurant I would not be happy but for the entire experience I think it is well worth it. Of course my girls are 3 and 5 and the castle was their favorite memory from last year (and really ours too).

We had a very late dinner (maybe 9:15 or so) and actually we could see the fireworks from our table which made the whole experience that much better.

No, the food alone isn't worth the price, but if you've never been inside the castle, it's worth it once for the the experience.

We usually do CRT Bkfst after BBB! Food is okay to good, but food is not worth the high price! The atmosphere and character are though! We do like PSB at Akershus better re: food! :rotfl:

I've only had dinner in the castle once and it was well worth it IMO. Granted being on the DDP helped and one morning we ate donuts in the room to save the meal to double up for the castle.

The food was very good. In fact, I'd say the Braised Kobia I had may have been the best piece of fish I've ever had in my life.

That said, if you order the fried chicken, I'm not sure how much tastier that could be for the price :lmao:

Ate there for dinner once. The food wasn't anything to brag about, but it wasn't awful either. I had the Creme Brule for dessert and it was really good. The atmosphere is what you are paying for... and I do think it was worth it for one time. Don't forget that the tip is included in the price... so that helps a bit.

we eat there every trip....but we have a 6 yr old princess and come on for her thats what its all about! lol okay i lie, last may it was a last minute trip and we couldnt get in. we've done lunch and dinner there. i enjoyed when we did lunch in 09, the dessert was amazing and they had pasta on the menu for me....i think in april 10 it was there as well. then they took it off. boo for momma!

we went feb last yr and nye just gone by and i feel the same, its for the experience not the food. but then that being said we didnt do dining at disney when it was amazing and no one complained of cut corners etc. the nice thing about dinner, if on the ddp your tip is included as well as an appetizer- its not at lunch which i found odd but whatever. the food wasnt terrible, altho on nye it tasted it for me as i had the stomach flu two days prior. our waitress even exclaimed oh my you must be sick- i had taken about 3 bites of potatoes and 2 of the roast beef?

our kids both love seeing the princesses, esp ariel when there. there is one ariel that is simply amazing and gets down on the kid level. she spent about ten mins with us last feb telling the kids jokes admiring my chamillia sabastien charm and posing for pics. but i know they also push turn over and some of the princesses do rush through without even letting the kids get up from the table. so if you want to try it once, why not? it is fun just to say you ate in the castle once!
