Cinderella's Royal Table -- worth it?

Hello! I will be celebrating my upcoming birthday at MK and am considering a birthday breakfast/brunch at CRT. My main draw is of course the ambiance, as I know there are plenty of restaurants in the area with better quality food.

That being said, a few questions-- Is it worth the money, in your opinion? Is it worth time that could be spent riding rides with relatively low wait times compared with the rest of the day?

I am also gluten free, so if anyone has experiences with that, I would appreciate hearing about those as well! TIA!

I would highly recommend crt.
We’ve been twice, once pre Covid and again just 2 weeks ago. Me, wife and 3 boys.

It’s now one of my favorite places to eat.

1) I enjoy sitting down and getting out of the crowds.
2) Eating in a castle is the coolest thing ever. The lobby, spiral stairs, main dining room are all very well themed.
3) The quality of the food was really good. In fact I felt the food everywhere was better this past trip than pre Covid.
4) You get to see Cinderella up close (closer than a stage or a parade)

"Worth it" is subjective.

Personally, I'd rather take the extra few minutes and head to Citrico's, Narcoossee's, Steakhouse 71, California Grill... much less chaotic, and higher food quality. Better bang for your buck overall.

But if you're looking to be immersed in a magical atmosphere and want the experience of eating in the castle... then you will likely enjoy CRT.

As was previously said, worth is subjective. If you've never eaten there then sure, it's a nice experience for the ambiance, but the food is mediocre at best. Sounds like you know it's not the draw which should manage expectations. Almost all counter service meals are better IMO. The one thing that gets me super cranky on vacation is paying premium for meh or terrible food. I've gotten way more selective as to where we eat. We used to do sit-downs all the time, now we do it 3 times tops on a 11 day vacation. The best ones being in the refreshed Disney Springs. I've no problem paying well for good food, but I'm done with leaving a restaurant hungry to find food elsewhere immediately.

Trade-off between rides and a uniquely-Disney dining experience can only be measured by the internal calculus of your family.

Character meals are pricey.

In the environment where photos no longer include hugs between children & Princesses, I'm not sure the value would be there for my family - since the Princess-thing was not that important for our child.....so ask the child(ren).

How many days are you planning to spend at MK and how long until you return?

I'm going to be there for my 46th birthday, and I'm hoping for breakfast at CRT - regardless of the food, I love the magic!

Thank you all for your thoughts!!! A belated update-- we did end up going for brunch on my birthday, and it was so magical! Do not regret it at all-- the food was actually far better than expected (I had the beef tenderloin and egg), and of course, it was so fun to be in the castle. Definitely would recommend--even on an adults trip!

Delighted you enjoyed it.

I have to wonder how many are dissing CRT based on experiences several years ago.

We've found that at around 2017-18 the food was better, not really, really good, but certainly far better than it had been 8-10 years ago. In 2019, we both thought it quite good indeed. Mind you, not Cali Grill, Citricos or Trattoria al Forno good, but decidedly better than a few years before.

The tenderloin is a favorite for both of us. They do a much better job now on g-f dishes, too, IMO.

Besides, you're EATING IN THE CASTLE. That's a thrill for any authentic Disney lover. (Sez ME. That's who. :D )

Book Dinner instead. Breakfast reviews have been lackluster and you can find similar pastries at the resorts/Main Street. It’s hard to eat a heavy breakfast and hit the parks as well (unless it’s Topolinos-book that one as a lunch 11:30-12:15 pm).

We actually prefer CRT breakfast to dinner, although both are pretty good anymore.

Never have had a problem eating a hefty breakfast and heading out into the MK. In fact, a fave of mine is oinking out at 'Ohana (with a refill or two and plenty of POG juice).

Diff'rent strokes for sure.

I have enjoyed more Be Our Guest… food is better (although I haven’t been at CRT post pandemic)… ambiance is also good… it doesn't feel crowded ..: it has good photo opportunities..

We ride the coasters earlier in the day so heavy breakfast isn’t in the works for us.

My birthday is a hot day... so we are thinking early morning rides until a late (fingers crossed) 10:30 a.m. breakfast... leaving for a hotel/pool break right after... then back to the park in the evening for fireworks. :)

Is there anywhere else in MK, or in any of the parks really, to get "the clock strikes twelve" dessert? DS7 has been talking about it since last summer, and is asking to eat at CRT specifically for this dessert again. I did our ADRs this morning and did get CRT bit really I wouldn't mind skipping it if I could find this dessert elsewhere. TIA!

I don’t think that particular dessert is available anywhere else (you can ask the grand Floridian bakery), but there are really good chocolate desserts at Epcot, the monorail resorts (thinking of the whisky infused layered chocolate cake at Steakhouse71 at the Contemporary), pastries at Le Petit cafe at Riviera; Amorette’s patisserie at Disney springs.

I’ve had the chocolate mousse dessert at ABC commissary (similar as well, but has raspberry flavor and a hazelnut crunch):
