My son and my 2 sisters will eat at Cinderella's Royal Table for lunch next week. I was the one that originally made and paid for the meal on my credit card. Today I purchased the dining plan for them. After they eat, I assume they can pay with dining credits and my credit card will be refunded. Will there be a problem since I (and my credit card) will not actually be there? Or is there something I can do before the trip. Can I call and have the credit card charges reversed now that their room reservation should show that they have the dining plan?

Last time we went, we paid in advance and later purchased the dining plan. We told our waiter when we sat that we prepaid, but would prefer it to be transferred to the dining plan. We had no problem with him issuing a refund. The refund took ( I think) around a week or two to show up in the account.

You can call the dining line. Be very clear that you only want to change the payment method. Make sure the CM doesn't want to cancel the reservation - cancelling the res and refunding the cc is the easiest way, but in the brief time between cancelling the res and making a new one someone else could come in, get the res and then you'll be without a res. If the CM doesn't know how to refund without cancelling, hang up and call until you get one who can do it.

You will need the resort reservation number.

You'll still need to give your cc info for the no show guarantee. The penalty at CRT is the full price of the prepaid meal if they do not cancel in time and then don't show up at the restaurant.

Didn't see the last reply until today so I didn't call the dining plan before my sisters and my son dined. They told me that they used dining credits to pay but I question the amount credited to my account. I pre-paid $160-something for 3 adults and my sister said the total for their lunch today was $140-something. Wonder if there was some confusion and my son was credited at the child price. They ended up giving him a double-portion of a child entree. He is 10 and wanted to see both the adult and child menus and he ordered something off the kids' menu. Will have to see what amount is actually credited to my credit card.
