In our previous 7 trips that I had planned well in advance I had tried and tried to get into CRT for breakfast with no luck. This trip wasn't planned way in advance as we did not even get DHs R&R dates until the end of March. He had missed all the birthdays/holidays/etc so he wanted each to have a special meal while we were at WDW. He really wanted to get CRT for DD. I told him I would try but the chances were highly unlikely. I checked for days to no avail. Checked one morning around 10:15 = nothing, went back and checked again shortly after 2:00 and was so shocked (I was just going through plugging in each of the days we would be there to see if anything came up) when it came up and said 8:25 AM reservation available for June 6th.

DS is 13 and had already told me where he wanted to eat - I hadn't even mentioned it to DD as I didn't want her to get her hopes up and then not be able to do it. We decided to keep it a secret. DS knew and I must say he did a great job of keeping it a secret.

DD always wears a princess dress to MK (and other parks except AK) and usually wears Cinderella. This time she said she wasn't going to wear her Cinderella dress but I told her Mickey Mouse called and said that he had something special planned and he really thought she might want to wear her Cinderella dress to the MK on this day.

The morning finally arrived for CRT. It was early (I think we left our resort about 7:15) - DD was still a little sleepy and not in the best of moods - not bad - just not cheery and chipper. On the monorail she looked kind of sad and said, "I didn't even get any breakfast" :rotfl: . I told her that was because we were going to eat at the MK.

After driving, parking at TTC, waiting for the monorail (seemed to take forever that morning/the express wasn't open yet), going through bag check and finally entering the park it was about 7:50. There is nothing like walking down Main Street with just a handful of people around. Love the pictures we got that morning. We waited until we were able to see the castle and DS says to DD "see the castle - THAT's where we are having breakfast". Her eyes got so huge and in a voice of almost disbelief she said, "Really???" and a smile slowly stretched from ear to ear.

We took our time down Main Street had some pictures taken and still checked in about 8:05. We were taken right in to meet Cinderella and have photos taken - it was the same Cinderella we had meet earlier in the week in the Princess meet & greet area and she remember DD and just talked and talked to her. After our pictures we were directed up the winding staircase to the 2nd floor and immediately seated.

I was surprised at how small this place is, I was expecting a huge area with lots of crowds and lots of noise - it didn't seem that way to me at all and we were seated toward the center of the room.

Our server came and brought DD her magic wand and gave DS a dagger (he's 13 and acts all cool but I think he kind of liked it - he's still a kid). Both the kids had wishing stars placed at their seats. After this our server took our drink orders and filled all our glasses with orange juice and explained the choices to us. The chef came out and told us DD would be fine with the kids breakfast and her nut allergy. DH, DS and myself all took the traditional breakfast of scrambled eggs, bacon, big sausage links and potatos. DD had the kids breakfast which was french toast sticks, scrambled eggs & bacon. There was also a bowl of fruit (melon, grapes, strawberries & pineapple on our table) along with a plate of breads (rolls, croissants, chocolate croissants).

The princesses were making rounds and DD was so excited. We were visited by Snow White, Ariel, Belle, and Aurora. All the princesses were very attentive with both kids and took time to chat and sign DD's book and pose for pictures with both kids individually. There were two wishing ceremonies while we were there.

We found the breakfast to be very good - the eggs were nice and fluffy. All the food was fresh and served hot. Our server did as if we wanted seconds and DH had a 2nd plate. I finished off DD's eggs (she doesn't really care for them) - she did love the french toast sticks and bacon. DS had one of DH's sausages from his 2nd plate.

The room started emptying out and DH went and took some pictures out the window while the tables were open. We were finished and out by 9:00 AM and had time to get to to the Rapunzel meet & greet and into the 1st group of the day.

It was very magical and DD said it was her most favorite part of the trip. LOVED the wishing ceremony - it's so sweet. The pictures that come with your package were nice - an 8 X 10 and 5 smaller photos in a nice folder with an 8 X 10 of the castle. So while the price seems on the steep side - you figure in that photo package (they are going to try to sale you a photo package at several of the other character meals and I usually buy it) and the little trinkets the kids get it's not that much of a difference.

I went into it (from reading some of the reviews) thinking well.....we will probably be disappointed, it will be on of those been there done that things but it wasn't. DH wanted to know what they had on the lunch & dinner menu so we might try that next time.....lol. I would definately do the breakfast again!!!!!!!

I'm so glad your DD had such a great experience. On our trip in 2004, I got up before the crack of dawn on our 90 day mark (this was before the 180 days) and got an early reservation for breakfast at CRT for our family. We didn't even have kids yet, but we were traveling with my SIL and BIL and their 4 kids. Their 3 girls were 18 months, 3 1/2 and 5 at the time and they just loved the experience. Their 13 yo brother was just happy it was all-you-care-to-eat! My dd is only 3 and I think we are going to skip CRT on this trip. She's currently more into Buzz Lightyear than the princesses. Go figure!

glad to hear you had a good meal and your DD enjoyed her surprise. I have to say I've disliked CRT last year and was pleasantly surprise last month when we went for lunch.
