**Cinderella's Honeymoon**AKL**DxDDP**A Magical Time**

You look like you are having the best time! Loving the updates! The pictures are great too...you do a really nice job of capturing the details! :cloud9:

Great installment! And I really liked your pics too! Looking forward to hearing more about your trip!:cheer2:

So we arrived back at AKL and changed into our bathingsuits and went down to the pool. It was a **little** chilly, but DH thought it was warm, so I agreed to get in with him. I slowly inched myself into the water while DH went down the water slide like a little kid!! I guess Disney really does bring the kid out into you - or at least the water slides do!! After I watched DH go down the slide 10 times i was convinced I had to try it out and find out why he was addicted!! So I walked the path to the slide along with a few 4-10 year olds and got in position. Then I let go and slid down into the pool - I will admit, it was really fun!!! After we swam for about an hour we got out and headed back to our room to change. We got dry clothes on and made our way back to MGM for lunch. We had an ADR for Mama Melrose and made it about 10 minutes in advance. We sat at the counter and watched them fix pizza's until we were called. We were seated in a booth in the back and the waitress took our drink orders. Once we returned, we gave her our appetizer orders. DH ordered the breads and spreads, and I ordered a Ceaser salad. My salad was very good - it was romaine lettuce, parm cheese, tomatoes, and homemade crostini. DH's appetizer included a variety of homemade italian breads and crackers along with arugula and chive pesto, sun-dried tomato chutney, roasted vegetable spread and roasted garlic spread - it was delicious and HUGE - i helped him polish it off though!! Next we ordered our entree's - both of us ordered Oven Baked Chicken alla Parmigiana served over spaghetti. We both enjoyed this very much - the chicken was moist and tender, spaghetti cooked perfectly, and lots of cheese!! Next came dessert. DH ordered Crema Limone which was a lemon custard served with fresh berries, and I had Tiramisu. DH really liked his dessert - very refreshing and tasty, I however didn't care for mine. I am a tiramisu LOVER and this was HORRIBLE!! Do not try it!!!! It tasted nothing like real tiramisu. We finished up dessert and headed back out to the park. We decided then that we would ride ToT and RnR and a few other rides over again until it was time to go back to AKL to shower and clean up for dinner.

**Dinner - California Grill ** - Next **

Thanks for sharing. I was glad to hear a good review of Mama Melrose. We are going to try it in Sept. and i was beginning to second guess that decision because of all the negative reviews here on the dis. I guess everyone has their own opinion. Thanks for the heads up on the Tiramisu.
I can't wait to hear about Cali Grill.

After we showered and dressed in more appropriate clothes (including wedding ears), we headed over to MK to catch the monorail to The Contemporary for dinner at MK. Once we arrived at MK we realized Wishes was about to start so we stood outside MK and watched from there. After Wishes, we hopped the monorail and made our way to The Contemporary. We arrived , checked in, and were told to use the elevator to access the 15th floor. I went and sat at the bar to wait for a table and DH went and talked to the host and requested a window table so that his new wife could see the Castle during dinner. We were seated in less than 5 minutes (surprising because we were 45 minutes early) at a window table with a PERFECT view of the castle. DH and I both sat there in awe at how beautiful it was! Our waiter came and took our drink orders and then returned to take our orders for appetizers. It was such a hard choice!!! I LOVE sushi, but just wasn't in the mood even though I've heard it's WONDERFUL. DH however has never tried it, but wanted too. Upon our waiter's recommendation, DH ordered a combo sushi plate which had shrimp tempura and California roll. I ordered the triple cheese flatbread. DH LOVED his sushi - the shrimp tempura was his favorite - I stole one of his California roll's since they are my favorite and it was delish!! My flatbread was also very good, but HUGE!! I could have easily eaten it as my main course!! Next up was our entree's. This was also such a hard choice! I decided on the Grilled Pork Tenderloin with Creamy Goat Cheese Polenta, Cremini Mushrooms, Zinfandel Glaze, and Sage. I love pork tenderloin and polenta and this was soo good but very rich. Pork was cooked perfectly and portion was just right! DH decided on the Oak-fired Filet of Beef with Potatoes, Bacon, Pearl Onions, Mushrooms, and Teriyaki Barbeque Sauce. He said it was wonderful as well. The potatoes were very well seasoned and the filet was cooked perfectly. The BBQ sauce was delish also!! Next we had to pick a dessert. DH decided on the "Caramel Apple" - which was Apple Jalousie Tart with Caramel Foam, Caramel Apple Shooter, and Green Apple Meringue with Apple Sorbe. It was really like 4 desserts in one - each a mini portion though. It was soo cute and tasted even better!!! I decided on the Valrhona Chocolate and Coffee which is a Warm Chocolate Cake with Molten Center, House-made White Coffee Ice Cream and Cappuccino Anglaise. Oh my soul this was to die for!!! I am a coffee and chocolate-oholic and this suited me to a T!!! I wish I could have had this every night. DH and I both also had a glass of dessert wine and just sat and enjoyed the view and enjoyed being in love and married for now 2 days. Our waiter came by and said we were so cute together and asked if we would like him to take our picture which we did. After we had finished dessert and drinks we made our way to the elevator but were stopped by a group of about 5-6 ladies at the bar who were **slightly** tipsy and were told that the bride and groom had to kiss when they tapped their glasses. They soon had EVERYONE at the bar and nearby tables tapping their glasses and DH dipped me in his arms and kissed me - everyone clapped and told us congrats. It was really sweet :lovestruc It was a great ending to a WONDERFUL meal!! We are definitely going to eat here every time we go to WDW - it was the best meal!! You just can't beat the food and the view!!! We hopped the monorail back to MK and then hopped a bus back to AKL. Once we were back we walked around the resort grounds for a bit and used those special night vision binocular/goggle thingys and then headed up to our room. Once back, we settled into our room for another evening in the most magical place on earth!!

Thank you.

I was thinking of this place for September and that just sealed it.

That dessert at California Grill that you had sounds awesome! I don't like coffee but love coffee flavored ice-cream and of course chocolate! Yum!

all caught up again. we never did get to use those night vision things at akl b/c we always were exhausted whenever we got back at night time. I think we should try to work naps into our schedule next time lol. although I could fall asleep anywhere in the park. If we went on a dark boring ride I could probably pass out. Hehe. Your meals sound yummy! I can't wait to go on dcl for our honeymoon in july!I can't wait to hear more about your trip either!:goodvibes

**First let me appologize in advance** All of my pics are uploaded in to photobucket.com and for some reason it will not let me resize pics anymore, so they are large and I'm sorry!!!

So we wake up (1/7) to our second full day at WDW. We decide that today we will visit Animal Kingdom. After getting ready and grabbing a quick cup of coffee from Mara, we headed down to the bus stop. Wouldn't you know right as we arrived a bus to Disney's Animal Kingdom arrived :) We took the short, 10 minute ride to AK and sat beside the cutest couple who had brought their 6 month old to Disney for the first time :goodvibes We arrived at AK and started walking from the bus stop to the main gate. DH got sidetracked at the shop right out front and had to buy some sunglasses since he had left his back home. We entered the gate and were suddenly in total awe - it was so beautiful!!!!! It really made you feel like you are in a jungle!!! The landscaping is wonderful, so many trees, flowers, animals, and birds. I just loved it! So, being the organized person I am, I decided we would just start at one end of the park and work our way around instead of just jumping to the attractions we were dying to see. We started just walking the path to the tree of life - it was so pretty and we saw some very cool birds!!! We walked straight to the tree of life and stood there in awe - it was just beautiful and soo massive!!!

We took a few pics and then quickly hopped in line for "It's Tough To Be A Bug". There was only a 5 minute wait which was really cool! We took some pictures of the animal carvings in the tree while we waited in line. I also loved all of the movie posters staring bugs that are inside the tree while you are waiting to go into the theater!!! I really liked this attraction and so did DH. The effects were really cool and the bugs that crawled under the seat at the end totally creeped me out!! I screamed!!! We exited out and started walking through the Discovery Island trails to see some more birds/animals and the really neat waterfalls.

Next we headed to Asia. We stopped at a tea stand first. DH got English breakfast tea - iced - with sugar and I got Raspberry tea - iced - with sugar. We continued on to Asia and first his Kali River Rapids. Boy oh boy do I wish we would have waited on this. I knew from the DIS that we would get wet, but boy did we get wet!!!!!!!! I wish we would have waited til later in the day for this because I was soooo wet, cold, and umcomfy for the next few hours!!!! Now... FINALLY..... we see DH's long awaited dream ride. Expedition Everest.

Amberpicplane306.jpg

This is the ride he has been wanting to go on forever and we are finally here!!! Standby line is only 20 minutes, so we grab a fastpass for later and hop in the standby line. We didn't even stop to look at the Yeti museum since DH was so excited!!!! The line wasn't 20 minutes, more like 10 which made us really happy!!!! We boarded in about the 4th row and I started getting nervous!!! I'm always like that when I get on a new ride. This rollercoaster was WONDERFUL!!! The theming is unreal!!!!! After we got off, my legs felt like jello!!!! We had about 2 hours before our fastpasses were good so we decided to go ahead and have lunch. We didn't have an ADR anywhere, so we figured we would need to just do counter service and my vote was for flametree BBQ. We passed by Yak and Yeti though and figured we would check the wait. There were about 30 people waiting outside so we didn't expect it to be good news. We told the host we didn't have a ressie and asked what the wait would be for a table for 2. He looked at his book for a minute and then told us he could seat us right away - he had one more table for 2 available! We were thrilled!! We looked over the menu and immediately knew what we wanted. DH got prince edward island mussels, tempura shrimp and steak, and mango pie. I got springrolls, chicken lo mein, and a brownie with ice cream. Our lunch was terrific, but soooo filling!!!!! DH even ate with chopsticks for the first time!!

Amberpicplane320.jpg

This figure was right above DH's head while we were eating - swords right about his head - kinda scary!

After lunch we went back to Expedition Everest to use our fastpasses. Once again the standbye line was only 20 minutes so we went ahead and went through the line again, rode, then used our fastpasses. I LOVE THIS RIDE!!! After we just walked through the streets of Asia and snapped tons of pics, we ventured to Dinoland USA. We rode Primeval Whirl which was really really fun and only had a 5 minute wait and then headed to Dinosaur. Dinosaur had a 15 minute wait, so we got in line to ride. We boarded our time machine or time rover or whatever they call it and began our journey back in time. This ride ws really really really cold!!! I was freezing in there and scared to death!!!!!! The dinosaurs were really lifelike and scared me!!!! I'm not sure I would take small children on it!! After we rode this we went on out of Dinoland. I really like this sign - reminded me that we are still in the south despite the fact there is no sweet tea anywhere to be found!

Amberpicplane311.jpg

Amberpicplane312.jpg

Finally we decided to hit Africa. The streets of Africa were really cool and very authentic looking!!!! We loved the African drummers that were playing!!

Amberpicplane334.jpg

Amberpicplane333.jpg

We headed to he Safari but it had a 70 minute wait!! NO WAY!!! It was already 4:00 and the park closed at 5:00 so we went ahead and decided to call it a day at Animal Kingdom and head back to the Lodge for a swim.

**Next Installment** - Dinner 1/7

great update and pics.

I love EE.

Great Update!!!!! I can't believe the wait for Expedition Everest was so short. I love riding it, even though I have only ridden twice since it opened. Can't wait for more.
