I'm trying to figure out the locations that you can use the the Coach or Carriage for?

Ok this is what I do know so far and please someone correct me if I'm wrong. I'll abbreviate for speediness - CC is Cinderella's Coach & HDR is Horse Drawn Carriage

MK - HDC, No CC
Epcot locations - ???
Sunset pointe - neither
Sea Breeze point - Both
Great Movie Ride - ???
WP - Both
Yacht Club - Both
Wilderness Lodge - neither?

These are my guesses, could someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Thanks for your help!

From what I understood, the coach could only be used at the GF locations. I could also be wrong. I remember hearing something about the horses being so slow that they couldn't take them far from the stables. Please correct me someone if wrong.

This was the information in the planning packet I received on 02/22/07. So it is still fairly recent. Doesn't mean they won't change things, but this is what I got....

• Cinderella's Glass Coach ** $2,700.00
(Includes four (4) white ponies and costumed footmen)
• Landau Coach ** $1,700.00
(Open air single horse drawn carriage)

** Coaches are only available for use at the following locations:
Disney’s Wedding Pavilion Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
Disney’s Boardwalk Resort Disney’s Yacht Club Resort

Thats the same info i had!! you can definately use both around the boardwalk - i have seen both being used for weddings at the Gazebo!

Interesting that CRC now lists only 4 ponies - there was a thread on here a month or so ago about whether you get 4 or 6 of them. Used to be 6... :confused3

That's really odd because both the website and the wishbook still list the 6 ponies....I wonder why they wouldn't update that

Does this mean you must stay at these resorts to use the coach? Or can you stay anywhere and the coach picks you up at your resort and then it can only take you to WP, & Yacht Club, ?

The coach has designated "routes" for each location where it may be used.

For example, if your wedding is at the WP and you are taking pre-ceremony pictures at the GF, there is an area behind the lobby where the coach will pick you up at and take you to the WP. If you are staying at POR, with this very same scenario, the coach will NOT pick you up at the POR and take you to the GF for pictures. You'd have to get a limo (or whatever) to take you to the GF, have your pictures done, and then get into the coach.

The coach is really just for pictures, not long-distance transportation. Your WP will be able to tell you exactly where the coach can/cannot go. Just remember, it's for show, not actual transportation by any stretch of the imagination.

Irish Cinderella is correct. You have to plan to meet the carriage somewhere designated by Disney. The coach is available for Epcot last I heard.

Initially I wanted the Coach but I wasn't willing to give up the WL wedding location. In the end, I was happier with the location rather than the coach and I know me, the (in 2005) $2500 bill for less than 30 minutes in the Coach would have haunted my dreams :lmao: . . . but I'm pretty frugal ;)

I have a question. When you book CC does the 2700 include to and from your ceremony? Or just one way?

I think in most cases it is both ways, unless for some reason the route can't be worked out properly. If you have it at the WP, you normally are picked up at the GF, taken to the WP, you and your husband make the 'staged exit' in it, you drive around for a few minutes while your guests scatter, you go back to the WP to take a few pictures or whatever, then back into the coach which takes you to the front of the GF Convention Center and you meet your limo which takes you to your next location.

Yes Very good info!!! Thanks everyone!

It really helps decide if a coach is worth it to know how much use you will have out of it and what its actually used for.

Very good to know!
