after we had thoroughly enjoyed ourselves at the block party bash, we headed straight for the BIG 2: tower of terror and rock-n-roller coaster!

i believe we got ourselves a fastpass for ToT and then headed over to the standby line for RnRC. if i remember correctly, the standby line was either 30 or 40 minutes. i think we waited around 30 minutes. when we got to the front we asked the coaster nazi (i.e., the CM who says, "how many?") if we could ride in the front, so he had us go stand in a separate line (which no one else was waiting in) and we were on the coaster in no time! the ride was a blast!!!!!!! this is the first time i was in the front and it was GREAT! it was nice to have all that cool air blowing in my face since we'd just sat in that hot afternoon sun.

this picture cracks me up!

after we took a restroom break we spotted a photopass guy in front of RnRC so we headed that way. first he took a picture with my camera......

then he took one with his, then he says, "show me your rock-on signs!" to which i did my famous rock-on sign and to which erica proceeded to FLIP THE GUY OFF!!!! although she didn't actually MEAN to do it. she just got some fingers mixed up or something. he pulled away from his camera and said, "WHOOOOOOAAAAAA.....not THAT rock-n-roll!!!!" or something like that! it was SO FUNNY! i can't wait to get our photopass pics so you can see us laughing in those pictures. it was great stuff.

by this time our ToT fastpasses were ready and so we went that way. i called my sister so she could listen since she did the same for me last time. erica decided to call matt (her hubby) while we rode so he could listen in too. so this is how our picture turned out......

the hand of mine you can't see in the picture is holding my phone. HOWEVER i'm still screaming my head off. erica is just sitting there looking at her phone like she's not about to DROP 13 STORIES FASTER THAN THE SPEED OF GRAVITY!!!!!

that one cracks me up too.

by the way, we had an AWESOME ride. we dropped tons of times - i lost count.

after we took on the tower.....

we got some great photopass shots here too that i can't wait to share.

we browsed through some stores after that, including my favorite, villians in vogue. here's my girl.....er......dragon.......maleficent!

we headed back towards toy story mania to see what the wait was and realized that buzz lightyear and woody were doing meet and greets in a little area across the way. so we hopped in line for that. we waited about 30 minutes but we entertained ourselves while we waited.....

then it was finally our turn!

woody was SUCH a gentleman and he kissed both mine and erica's hands when he met us.

then after he signed my book he took erica's sunglasses off and motioned for her to put our glasses on. then he made us pose like we were holding guns. it was cute!

by the way, i have no clue what's going on with my stomach here. i think i'm just standing weird. it's pooching out like i'm 5 months pregnant!

this area is really cute and i'm glad they have an area for this character meet where you don't have to stand in the hot sun!

after that we headed on down the road and ran into some very cool guys!

around that time i decided it was time for a golden margarita....yum!

erica was craving a snack and i was kinda hungry too, so we went to get a pretzel at the little snack cart near lights, motors, action. i stood to the side to wait and these guys came roaring by.....

i noticed the yellow ranger ran over to an area near where i was standing, so i followed her and got some pics of her posing with the kids. this one's my favorite!

we took our pretzel and margarita over to the streets of america to find a place to sit down to snack.

we found a nice little shaded staircase in front of.....

it was erica's idea to take pictures of the street address!

it was nice to sit there enjoying our snack and people-watching!

of course we had to make a pitstop at the chinese laundry/china bowl and do our karate poses as a shout-out to jordan!

we then headed over to tatooine traders so i could get a shirt i had seen on the disboards for ray. i found it with no problem. how awesome is this???

erica decided to take a ride on a speederbike....

oh, i have a story about that picture. you see the little girl on the very left edge of the picture? well, she was on the speederbike when we walked up and no one was around - she was just basically playing on it. so we waited a few minutes and she never would get off. so erica walked up to her and politely said, "can i ride it for a minute and get a picture and then you can get right back on it?" the little girl just smiled and sat there. well, FINALLY her mom yells from some benches across the aisle for her to get off and the little girl just wasn't listening. this goes on for at least a minute before the little girl very SLOWLY got off. it just ticked me off that the mom wouldn't get off her big rump and come over there and explain to the little girl what was going on. it wasn't the girl's fault - she was a kid. but her mom was too lazy and just kept yelling at her. get up and come over there!!!!!!! oh, it just made me so mad.

okay......sorry. rant over.

the fastpasses that we had gotten first thing that day for TSM were FINALLY ready! so we headed back over there to ride one last time! we passed high school musical along the way.....

i love these!

we hopped in the fastpass line and once again LOVED this ride! this time i changed my method to starting out with my left hand and then finishing with my right. last time my right hand had gotten tired about halfway through and i had to finish with my left and i was horrible! but this time i did better and barely beat erica! oh, and our scoreboard worked this time, too.

i'm not gloating - you have to understand that i NEVER win anything like this. so it was nice. i have no doubt that she beat me the first time though!

thus ends our day at DHS. after TSM we decided to call it a day there and head back to the hotel for a break before going to downtown disney that night. we'll be back with the rest of that story later!

I think I would enjoy seeing pictures of the people who were watching you do all of your poses! I'm betting you are probably in some of their trip pictures, and they are telling some very interesting stories.

I now work on holding in my tummy on pictures, I have way too many where I look pregnant. My youngest is 22, this is not a great look! I would have not have noticed yours, because you both look so cute with Buzz and Woody.

Also would like to add that your DHS list is first rate. However we are not huge fans of Fantasmic, and I do like to go in Sounds Dangerous on some trips. Give it a try on a hot day, or when you need a nap!

Your TR is sure getting me excited for some fun girl time in October.

I LOVE Block party bash and you had the identical vantage point we did but from the other side of the street. We actually watched the second stop from the steps of the ABC theater which is a great spot because there was no audience across from us so all the performers were facing our direction.

I got a kick out of your comments about Mr Incredible. I thought the same things, he doesn't seem real until he starts dancing then that platform really swings!

Near the end they shoot out little nerf balls which we didn't catch on to soon enough and they were all grabbed up. The army man pointed right at my kids, reached into his pocket and said "here you go boys" and threw one at them, so thoughtful! I can't believe I actually caught it, must have been Disney magic.

I wasn't sure what I would think of HS before this trip (it didn't exist the last time I was there was about 20 years ago) but there are several must do things there for us and probably more than 1 day too!!

the bad part is that i don't have any kids! i carry my weight in my butt and my legs, so my tummy has never been a problem. so when it looks like that i FREAK out! but thank you for not noticing.

i may give sounds dangerous a try one day. i always feel like there's more at DHS than i can do though. i guess that's why i never got around to it. i LOVE fantasmic. the end with sorceror mickey shooting off fireworks just gives me goosebumps every time. i love fantasia so this part just gets to me!

This always makes me sad....but I am VERY glad the family decided to push on with the MK when Walt died. Could you imagine not having it??

Learning a little more about the animatronics were cool. I thought I had a picture of the bird (prob from the tiki room) but I guess I didn't take one

Not sure if this is Kali or which park this ride is from but was always one of my faves at Opryland!!

You two girls had way too much fun!!!!!!!!!!! I think I need a girls WDW trip! hehe Seriously, we just got back from WDW with the family a few weeks ago and my DH said to me last night, "honey, I had fun with the kids but it is more fun alone"! So funny!

Hey, your little girl story on the Star Wars thing reminds me of a story a cast member was telling us at MK while we were there. We were chatting with him and he told us that earlier that day, a little boy from Canada, sorry Canada, smacked him right in the face and the parents did nothing! I just can't believe how some parents are at WDW. Seriously shocked at that one!

I can't believe how calm the two of you are on ToT. I'm TERRIFIED of that ride - I would be holding on for dear life!

And I just discovered that Backlot canteen on our last trip. Usually when I'm needing a "cold beverage", we head into the Tune In lounge. We stumbled upon the canteen in June when it had started to rain; hung out on the bar stools and until it stopped. It was a relaxing and uncrowded spot!
