Cinderella breakfast reservation at 9.10?

Hello everyone :)

We have Cinderella Breakfast reservation at 9.10.

I specifically didn't try to book a 8am reservation as I don't want to rush through an expensive breakfast in order to be able to ride something without a line.

I was hoping we would be able to ride "7 Dwarfts" at about 8.45 and then go to breakfast.

But I heard if you have the reservation after 9am you would not be allowed to the park before opening?

It doesn't seem to make much sense because to make a 9.10 reservation we still need at least 10 minutes from the gate to the restaurant.

I don't care about getting to the park at 7.45. But I was hoping to get to the park at about 8.30 so we could get everything done without running around. My mom is 74, she would not enjoy the running part.

Would appreciate an advice from the experts :) Thanks in advance!

Does the park open at 8 or 9 on the day you are going? Main Street will open around 7:50 if an 8am opening, or at 8am for a 9am opening (but only Main Street will be open - no rides).

If it's an 8am opening and you plan to get to the park at 8:30 and try to ride 7 Dwarfs at 8:45, the line will already be way too long to make your 9:10 reservation. If you want to ride 7 Dwarves before breakfast (and assuming an 8am opening), you would need to be at the park gates no later than 7:45am, in my opinion. The line for that builds way too quickly to try to arrive at or after park opening and not have a big wait.

It seems so far that the park would be opening at 9am.

I didn't know that now everybody is allowed to the parks before opening. I guess I don't understand at all how everything works now.

Does that mean as our reservation is in the castle, we would not be allowed to the rides behind the castle - like everybody without dining reservations?

Thank you very much for the info!

I don't see any way you are going to be able to do the ride before your reservation.

I guess then we would be better off just eating later, so we would not need to fight the opening crowds.

Thank you for the info.

I got the idea reading how people can ride the Frozen ride at 8.45-8.50 before their dining reservation at Akershus at 9 or 9.10.

But it seems like it doesn't work the same in Magic Kingdom.

AFAIK, it doesn't work that way at Epcot, either.
Do you have any link(s) to posts that describe that happening at Epcot?

Unless they open Epcot to all guests before 8:45 (or its an AM EMH day,) I don't see how anyone could ride Frozen before 9AM.

I think the big misconception is that there would be any rides operating before the park's opening time.
Even if you were to able to physically get to a major MK attraction (which is generally not possible) before the park is open,
the ride would not yet be operating.

The only time I know of when 7D is running before park opening is on the days when they have early morning magic, or extra magic hours, and you either need to have a ticket to the event (early morning magic), or be a resort guest (extra magic hours), and in either of those cases, you would want to be at the park before 8:00 to take full advantage of the extra hour (hour and 15 minutes in the case of early morning magic) in the park.

Wanted to make sure someone covered your question here. Forgive me if I’m repeating anything.

For a 9AM park opening, everyone is let through the gates at 8ish and they are free to wonder around Main Street up through the Hub, but no further. The Welcome Show will be on the castle stage at 8:55AM, after which they ‘drop the ropes’ to other parts of the park.

With your 9:10 CRT ADR, you do not get any special pre-park opening ADR access. You’ll be held with everyone else at the Hub until the Welcome Show is over, then you’re free to walk to CRT.

Hope that helps.

While most of what you explained should be the case, if the guest has a 9:10 CRT ADR, it is likely that the guest's party would be
allowed all the way to the castle restaurant's check-in desk before the Rope Drop show.
And, that means going around back of the castle and not "through" the castle drawbridge access tunnel
(as that would be closed due to the MK Welcome show on the castle stage.)

The "nuances" of what, where, and when for these kind of things can get very complex.
And (unfortunately) the actual specific procedures can change with which CMs are in charge,
and/or with which CMs are encountered by the guest on any given day.

Ahh, cool, thanks for the correction.

It was not the post, it was some blog where a person was describing their experience with early morning reservation in Akershus. They had a reservation at 8.15 and were saying that they needed to hurry up to get to standby line before the main crowds arrive.

And they said there was a family with them on the ride who had Akershus reservation at 8.45. They said they checked in at the restaurant and told them they want to ride Frozen first. And it seemed like they did.

Sorry I don't remember which particular blog it was.

That's where I was coming from with my idea.

Thank you very much for all the useful information!

I understand that we can't ride the rides off times.

I just thought because we could get in line earlier with other people who had breakfast reservations but before the bigger crowd arrives, we might be able to ride the ride and then go have quite not rushed breakfast.

I read at the official Disney Mom's panel that with breakfast reservation you would be allowed to the parks "...roughly 25-45 minutes before official Theme Park opening...".

Here is the link to that post:

Well since @Robo’s giving unsolicited opinions, I’ll give mine too. :-) I put info from the Disney Mom’s Panel on a similar playing field as info from a WDW Bus Driver - best viewed with a high degree of skepticism! I’d trust @Robo on this stuff any day over pretty much any other source.

Good luck OP!

And, while I'm throwing out opinions, here... ;)

OP, I'd not want a 9:10 ADR for anything on a day when a park opens at 9AM.
That's a waste of major "prime riding time" in the early morning.

I's want an ADR either much earlier or much later.

Thank you!

I hear you :)))

But I am going to be with my 18 yo daughter who really wants for some reason this Cinderella breakfast (we did it about 3 years ago, and she didn't even want to go that time! :)). But I also am going to be with my 74 yo mom. My mom is an adventurous and active person, but she is 74. So I am trying to adjust everything to her, so it would not be overwhelming for her.

So we are O'K with not going on a lot of rides. I hope to get Fast Passes once our window opens, we stay on property. And that would be fine with us.

My daughter also doesn't deal too well with the crowds, so we are not going to do any rope-drops.

I just thought we might try to ride "7 Dwarfts" without using a fast pass if we can.

I think you mis-read the article. It states:

"With the Let the Magic Begin Welcome Show at Magic Kingdom, Main Street, U.S.A. is open to all Guests (regardless of staying at a Disney Property or not) roughly 25-45 minutes before official Theme Park opening."

Even this isn't entirely true - they let all guests in about an hour before opening, so 8 am on a 9 am opening day.

Since you won't be able to ride it prior to your CRT reservation, I would recommend trying to get a FP+. You will have better luck getting a 4th, 5th, 6th FP+ for just about every other ride in WDW besides 7DMT.
