On the third day we awoke ready to head back into the park but before we did I had to stop by the ticket booth and pick up my button and gift certificate. The man in the booth did a really great job sprucing up my button!
So being it was my day and all i had a couple of requests, first being to eat breakfast at the storytellers cafe. Part of the reason i wanted to eat there was to show mom the cafe, she had never eaten there before so I wanted her to experience it. Needless to say she had an awesome time. We all did! The food is really good there and the atmosphere is so fun.
Some pictures of the place
We got an awesome booth on the far wall
and you know your going to get a visit from some of the characters when you eat there!

the bear from brother bear with us, i have no idea what his name is btw

The gorilla from Tarzan with us. No clue on this name either!
Brother bear with mom.
after that, with our bellies full of food we headed into the park. We figured with all the food in our stomachs it'd be a good idea to keep it mellow so we headed over to fantasy land to the classics.
Mr toad
After that we decided to go on the carosel simply because none of us had ridden it for years. Now on our honeymoon we took that walk in walts footsteps tour and learned there was a special horse dedicated to julie andrews but since it was so long ago that it was pointed out to us we forgot what it looked like. so we just walked around and found the first row availible that we liked. Randomly my mother selected that exact horse! what are the odds! we did even look at it until she had sat down, but there it was with her initials and everything. Mom loved it, she felt so fortunate!
us riding
after that we completed the fantasyland tour. y'know Alice, Pinocchio, Peter Pan, all the usual suspects.
After that I wanted to head over to California because the night before we learned of a full bar that is actually right in the park. We were eating pizza at Naples and the bar tender told us about it so we had to check it out. We've never heard of it because its not in the disney maps at all. the reason being its upstairs in Areil's grotto. So headed over to check it out. We were so glad we did, its a great place to take a break and relax a little and have an adult beverage!
Plus it gives you an awesome view of the construction, i bet this will be the place to be when they finally debut the world of color show!
After we relaxed a little bit we headed over to toy story mania because my mom had never been on that one either.
Heres a classic....
about to board
We rode the ride and we all loved it, but of course I won! I'm the best plus i was raised on video games so I have a head start. Well we felt the need for more 3d so we headed over to our favorite show, its tough to be a bug!
We always have to take a picture of us in he goofy glasses its become a tradition in my family.
after that we headed over the hollywood area to try and see turtle talk but it was a little too busy and we needed a rest so we headed back to the hotel room for just that. but before we left DW spotted this wall and had to take a picture in front of it.
After our rest we were hungry and need some dinner. Anybody who has followed us her on disboards knows that there is only one place I want to eat dinner on my birthday.... THE ESPN ZONE. I love it there we got another table in front of the 18 screens and we had our own little birthday party. After the meal we got their cookie and ice cream dessert, it was delicious!
After that we had some fast passes to use up so we did exactly that. The first was splash mountain, and it turned out to be the best splash mountain ride ever! We got on with what seemed to be some frat guys show were really funny. The main reason is that they had never ridden it before so they'd say funny things about the bryor bear hanging upside down, or he big butt hanging out of the bee hive it was really funny. and then they got extra excited for the drop and so did we. it was a blast! After that we headed over to big thunder one last time, and then we used up our final fasspass on indy. My favorite ride was also the last ride of our trip.... so sad... but were really tired so it was time. the next morning we packed up our stuff and started a brand new tradition. We ate at Mimi's cafe before the long drive home. We had never done this before but we will from now on because it was great way to fill up and to look back on another fantastic trip. It was sad getting back onto I-5 north but we felt better knowing that we'd be back really soon!
