So when I made our original ADR it didn't even occur to me that I was making our Paradiso 37 ADR for May 5th aka Cinco de Mayo! BTW I did make the reservation through opentable.com and not Disney Dining so it was actually a reservation and not an "ADR"...
We have been to Paradiso many times but it has been a while since our last visit. I was seeing some posts about it not being so great, going downhill, yada yada yada...well let me just CONFIRM that is NOT true...at least for us...we 100% enjoyed it once again and really love this place.. Ok the music can be a little loud but you can still hold a conversation and on Cinco de Mayo it should be loud and hopping and it was.
I was afraid we might have to wait but nope, we were taken right to our seat, right out front on the patio and what a great seat it was. My dd normally does not like to sit outside but on this night I made her! LOL!
It was a gorgeous night and it was the place to sit!
I had to start with my very favorite Margarita, the Silver Herrudura Margarita or what Mauricio called it, The Ultimate Paradise...and it is!!
And then we ordered our "must do"...the Mexican Dipping Trio which is Chili Con Carne, Spinach Queso and Guacamole served with a little bag of tortilla chips. This was even better than we remembered. Just seemed really fresh and the Spinach Queso was amazing. It was rich and creamy and I only got to have a little bit because dd hogged it all LOL!!
She was not a fan of the Chili Con Carne as it was a little spicy for her, but that was ok because it was perfect for me!
DD had to get her "typical" chicken quesadillas like she usually does but she enjoyed them as usual. They are actually an appetizer and they definitely increased in size from the last few visits. She couldn't finish them all.
I really wanted my "usual" too but I had to try something different. I usually get the Jicama salad with shrimp and it is so good but this time I decided to try something different. I got the chicken enchilladas and I was very glad I did!
They were fabulous. They had white meat chicken and cheese rolled in a tender/soft tortilla with just the perfect amount of spice. They were served with a side of cilantro rice which was also delicious. I shared them with dd...as well as a side of black beans. WOW, this was a lot of food, I couldn't finish mine either...
...I could sure go for one of those enchilladas right about now!
This was a great meal and we'd go back in a heartbeat. We really enjoy this place and it was fun being in the middle of the fun. It was definitely packed that night and I'm glad we sat outside because it was a bit "stuffy" inside. They had 2 tents on each side of the walkway outside selling huge margaritas for Cinco de Mayo...these were the size of bowls!
If you'd like to read my full review, there are lots more photos of the restaurant as well as some food photos of our past visits. They still actually have a lot of the same food although it may have changed a bit it'll still give you an idea of their offerings.
