Anyone else fighting them? Dh has tried a liquid mix and some grandular pesticide but we still have them. What product had you used that wiped them out? How often did you treat the lawn?

Thanks!

Itsy bitsy bugs at the roots of your grass and suck the moisture out and kill your grass. You wont know you have them until your lawn starts turning yellow in patches then these patches of grass die.

I believe that SEVIN is the only insecticide approved for use on chinch bugs.
Make sure that is what you are using.

Also, water the lawn heavily throughout the summer, Chinch bugs prefer droughted grasses. Set your lawnmower up to at least 2.5 to 3 inches. Long grass means unatractive grass to most insects.

Chinch bugs are difficult to control, the SEVIN applications need to be timed correctly to innterupt the egg laying cycle. Check with your local Dept of Agriculture for a reccomended schedule. ( Don't trust the guy at the garden center)
