Church question

While in the CP, is it feasibly possible to go to Catholic mass each week? I know the scheduling shifts vary but would it possibly to go to church either Saturday night or Sunday morning each week? Thanks for the info!

Hey! When I was a CP, I was staying in Chatham Square which is right next to Little Lake Bryan. There is a Catholic church called Mary, Queen of the Universe literally about 5 minutes away. I can't post links yet, but you can look it up on Google maps and see it's really close to where the CP's live. My roommates and I used to attend Sunday morning mass when we were all off. Shifts do vary, but they do have weekday masses if you're off on a weekday and there are Saturday night masses as well if I remember correctly. It's a very beautiful church and it's super close so you shouldn't have a problem! Hope this helped!

Thanks very much! We are familiar with Mary Queen of the Universe. Beautiful place! My daughter was wondering if shifts would permit getting to weekly mass.

They might. But they also might not. CP schedules vary greatly depending on the role and location. She will usually have two days off per week but they will likely not be on Sat or Sun. Some weeks she may only have one day off. Whether those days off or shift times allow her to attend services are up to chance. And since schedules vary from week to week, what works one week might not work the next. She will have to take it on a week by week basis. I'm not familiar with that church but if they offer services on several days other than Sundays I would imagine at least one would work into her schedule.

You could also request religious accommodation. There's a form to fill out on the on boarding website. The DCP has alot of Mormons in the program and alot of them had Sunday morning off at least to attend church, including my roommate (spring 2012).

Thanks for everyone's replies. She is hoping that a Saturday evening 6pm or Sunday morning with be opened to attend mass. She'll look into the religious accommodation too. Thanks!
