It should still be pretty darn hot when we're there right? If so...then this could definitely be a snack option!
4am?? Craaazy. I wonder if we'll even last that long...Part of me says that since I paid extra for the ticket I should stay till the end to get my moneys worth...but then that would mean missing most of Sunday due to our sleeping in. LOL. I guess we'll just see what happens. I think the key factor would be the weather. Does the race go on rain or shine?
So I thought I would copy what the run disney site has listed regarding the bash.
Disney Villains Hollywood Bash
September 29, 10:30 p.m. September 30, 2012, 4:00 a.m.
Location: Disney's Hollywood Studios
Runners and Guests can party in the shadow of The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror at the Disney Villains Hollywood Bash where you will enjoy Rock 'n' Roller Coaster® Starring Aerosmith, The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror , Star Tours, Muppet*Vision 3D, The Great Movie Ride, and Toy Story Mania!, in addition to DJs and character meet & greets with your favorite Disney Villains.
It is my understanding that rain or shine it will happen. In fact... another quote...
All runDisney races will be held rain or shine, except in the case of lightning. For the Walt Disney World® Lightning Policy, please see the Safety information of the Runners Information page of the event you are interested in.
So lightning could bee a problem.

The Walt Disney World® Resort Lightning Policy
Event operations will shut down when lightning is 10 miles out from the event areas. Event operations will not resume until the lightning is 10 miles out moving away from the event areas. Sports Manager will determine this using the *Flash to Bang Rule* and weather radar. The Sports Manager will consult with Walt Disney World® Resort Management on a course of action to utilize the operational rain plan, delay the event, or cancel the event.
*Flash to Bang Rule* is applied by measuring the time (in seconds) between a visual lightning "Flash" and hearing the resulting "Bang". This time is then divided by a factor of "5" to obtain distance in miles. For example, 50 seconds between "Flash" and "Bang" divided by "5" equals 10 miles.
One thing you will need to consider though... is transportation. You will not be at a host hotel, right? So there will be no transportation.
What I recommend is this...
DHS closes at 6pm that day, so a bus from your hotel to DHS will not be running. I would either go to Epcot or to POR/POFQ.
Epcot is open till 10pm. You could either then walk all the way to DHS from there or to BC/YC and take one of the boats to DHS.
POR/POFQ would mean getting there from another park and then taking one of the event buses to DHS..
The return is what will require a cab. So not tricky... just an added expense.
I personally do not know how long I will last at the VB... After going 10 miles... I may be pretty tapped. I ran a 10k this weekend and when done, I didn't even stop to look at booths at the event. I just wanted to go home. Course, I did run with an injury and was having a hard time walking (yet almost ran the entire thing) so I was a bit uncomfortable. Maybe I wont be in pain when the 10 miler is over.
