Chunkymonkey and Chubbyhubby Stuff Themselves Silly! THE END..on to the next TR!

I just noticed from Trickiwoo's post. You have a hello kitty tattoo???????? THAT IS SO AWESOME!!!

I've always loved Hello Kitty. I really liked that part of Mitsukoshi too. It's just such an enormous store!

So I keep reading all this posts to my husband about food and he just yelled down the hall at me. "what the heck is the deal with this tonga toast" hahahahahah so funny!!

Yay! I finally have some free time to start catching up on your TR!

Allrightie, that's all the time I have for now! I'll remember where I left off and catch up soon!!! I'm loving your TR so far!

Hey! awesome! We can be writing our TRs together.
Yes we rold ME on the way back. It was awesome. I wish they had one when we were going to Disney. even at 3am I could have (and needed) some Disney magic!

How was the food at Teppan Edo? I've always wanted to go there... but we have a lot of Teppanyaki style Japanese restaurants here at home that we eat a lot... So when I'm at WDW, I like to experience restaurants that are totally different than what we can get at home. But if the food is really good, then it might be worth making a point to go to at some point...

It pretty good. but i do think it is typical hibachi style places. We don't have any good ones near us at all so we don't bother. So at Disney, why not? LOL
The space is nice and modern and you meet nice people!

That scares me too!!!!! I'm actually even more scared when I'm in line watching all the cars zip off! It looks so scary!!!!!! They go so fast! And I know when you're in the car and you start going fast it's not scary at all! But I still get soooo nervous before the ride! But of course I end up enjoying it so much!!!!!

I know!! Its always the anticipation, and never the ride, that is the issue.

Do you happen to remember the name of the stunt actor that played Indiana Jones when you saw it?? A really good friend of one of my friends plays Indiana Jones in the show! I imagine they have more than one actor playing Indy... I was just wondering if you saw him or not! His name is Ray...

Hmm I have no idea if his name was Ray. But we might have seen him!

Awww! I was too far away to even see the Alien! Let alone get a photo of it! You got such a good photo!!!!!!! The movie Alien terrifies me and gives me nightmares!!!!! I tried watching some of Aliens, but got too scared to even finish the movie!!! So the Alien part of The Great Movie Ride is really scary for me! But it's a fun scary and it's my favorite part of the ride!

I know!! It was scarey and it was right next to me, but when in the viewfinder, doesn't seem that bad...lol.

Haha! This happens a lot with me and The Boyfriend whenever we go to WDW!

Hahaha yup. DH can sleep anywhere. I am the opposite.

I love that picture!!!!! You should post it over at my favorite thread: How about pictures of alcoholic drinks?

Cool I will! Thanks

Okay next time we plan a trip at the same time, we'll probably schedule the same parks again so we'll have to arrange to stop and meet sometime! Dole Whip?

Yes we should totally go! It's a Dole Whip Date then!

Great update! Love the plan to get Soarin FP's before breakfast, although that's strange that the ticket has to be swiped in order to get FP's. Who knew? :confused3

Breakfast at Kona looks great! That Tonga Toast looks soooo good...but I'm not a huge banana fan! So I don't know if I would like it! I feel like any time something has bananas in it, they overpower everything and that's all I taste!:rotfl:

Love your pictures from the Seas! Whenever I try to take pictures of the animals in the water, they end up looking like dark shadows in blue water, your pics are so clear and colorful! :thumbsup2

Thanks! I think you'll like it even if you don't like bananas, the banana taste was barely thre if anyhting, it was just stuffed in the middle, It was mostly the toast. maybe they can leave out the filling for you.

Thanks I used a circular polarizer with my lens for a dslr which is just a special filter on your lens that lets you tone down reflections and glare in water, and makes skies more blue. I love it!

Ok, I'm at the end of Day1. I just wanted to say that I bought the same "Sorry girls, I'm taken" shirt for MY little brother! It's just such a great shirt! He isn't actually taken yet....but it's still very nice.

Ok, back to catching up

Haha, It's such a funny shirt, and sooo like DH hahaha.

I just signed on to follow your TR! I'm way behind (only read Day 0 Part 1 so far) and I see my big distraction will be your awesome pictures! I was about to read Part 2 but I keep skipping all the text and looking at your photos! (Score 1 for Adult ADD! :goodvibes). I'm so jealous! I wasn't able to take any "good" pictures at WDW for a couple of years because my boys were wearing their cranky pants the last 2 trips!!! Can't wait to read about your magical time!

Aww i'm sure one day you will get to go and capture some nice memories of the parks. I'm glad you are here though! thanks for signing on!

Fun TR! Im just jumping in now - but loving it :) Excited to start Day 3 now!

Yay! Cool! Welcome!

Ok, I'm finally all caught up.

It's too bad you slept in for your ADR! But definitely awesome you were able to get a later one. That tonga toast looks so yummy. I love bananas.

Everybody says Ohana is way too much food, but it seems like a really good all-u-can-eat.

I've never really wanted to eat at SciFi, but after reading your post, I do!

Everything we ate on this trip we would return to. eacch of them had it's own set of reasons why we enjoy them

I just noticed from Trickiwoo's post. You have a hello kitty tattoo???????? THAT IS SO AWESOME!!!

I've always loved Hello Kitty. I really liked that part of Mitsukoshi too. It's just such an enormous store!

nonono i don't have a tattoo:laughing: I think that was from someone else. I wish I had a tatoo though. Not sure what though, oh wait, I think tongo toast is at the top o the list. lol :dance3:

So I keep reading all this posts to my husband about food and he just yelled down the hall at me. "what the heck is the deal with this tonga toast" hahahahahah so funny!!

HAHAHA you can tell him that it's something he's gonna miss out on you are all going to have it without him!!

I know I haven't gone yet, but join in on my TR and I will make sure to take lots of pics of food especially tonga toast hahahaha. I started it already because I am just sooooooo excited I can't stand it so I am putting up all my plans :). I need some photo tips. :). For all those pics of tonga toast to make my DH jealous.

HAHAHA you can tell him that it's something he's gonna miss *** you are all going to have it without him!!

I have finally gotten DH to sign up for the boards. He will probably be a lurker and chime in every one in awhile to say i am telling it wrong....but baby steps. He just doesn't want to admit his Disney weakness hahahah so watch popo620 is on the loose. :scared1: He wants to hear more about the toast. hehehehe

I so want your skills at taking pictures. I'm so wanting it that I was going to look at getting a DSLR although I rarely use my camera (other than to take photos of my cats).

Dole Whip Convention is on!

Day 3 Part 2: When it rains, it pours, but I got a free souvenir!

So after we buy our ponchos, we head right into Innoventions West. But just before, we drop into Club Cool for some nice refreshing sodas. We tried everything but the Beverly as usual. I am not sure which one was my favorite this time but I did like the watermelon and the honey flavored sprite the best I think. :lovestruc

5005169305_1d0e44bfb2_o.jpg

After that we headed into Innoventions. We went to wait for the Disney Visa card picture. The characters this time were Mickey, Minnie and Goofy.

This one was taken by the cast member with my point and shoot:

5005171047_cbd74368eb_o.jpg

The characters all got a kick out of DH’s t-shirt. They totally kept pointing at it and thought it was really funny. Hahaha.

This one was taken by me as we were leaving

5005774258_17f9f0f327_o.jpg

So we got to walk around Innoventions West and a bit of East. Innoventions East has been totally revamped and they had all these new things. We love to walk around Innoventions. We wanted to do the segways but the line was a bit long as usual, so we went and did other things.

Here is my Velcro frog design that I did while DH went and got Fps for Test Track. It was raining at this time. Good thing we got the ponchos!

5005771644_3ecdc1247d_o.jpg

I didn’t keep the Velcro frog. I wasn’t sure if you got to keep them or not, but I didn’t know what I’d do with it anyways so I just stuck it on the Velcro wall.

5005159223_4084ee53b1_o.jpg

Then we passed by this station and we saw that you could make your own paper! COOOOLNESS!! :woohoo:

5005775774_6695a6c501_o.jpg

I used to be fascinated about making paper when I was younger, so it was a lot of fun for me. I think I was the only adult on line. LOL. First you take the mold and dip it in the paper “slurry” which is water with cotton fibers, you move it around to get an even layer of fibers before pulling it out. It then goes on a special dryer which is a vacuum that pretty much sucks the water out.

5005163251_8bb973a4de_o.jpg

Then you roll it out so that it’s nice and flat and even

5005163603_afe5b22a06_o.jpg

And then it is baked for a few minutes so it’s nice and dry

5005775402_480777b3ed_o.jpg

And then you get to decorate it with crayons. I really am not an artist. I may be a photographer, but when it comes to drawing I am not very creative, so here is my lame attempt at commemorating our trip:

5005777474_db2dfa58db_o.jpg

And here is the flip side. Told you I wasn’t a very good artist. But either way, I get a free souvenir!

5005777160_08345ff3d7_o.jpg

Here’s DH playing with one of the other things around Innoventions.

5005162131_f05553ffbc_z.jpg

We definitely wanted to do more stuff at Innoventions, but the rain lightened up a bit so we headed over to The Land to use our Fps at Soarin. So ponchos on, we marched over. Now we thought we could have a snack at Sunshine Seasons, but honestly, I was soooo fulll from the Tonga Toast I did not eat anything else all day. I really was stuffed. It was nuts! It’s too bad too because I really wanted to try some stuff at SS but I couldn’t think about food just yet at that point. Plus we had dinner at Biergarten, which required a hearty appetite, but I didn’t think I could possibly have at that point…

After that the weather cleared up so we walked over to Test Track to use our Fps. On the way we got a frozen cappuccino with a snack credit. I wasn’t hungry but I wanted some coffee and this sounded pretty good. It was.

Before Test track we decided to do Mission Space, the green side. There was only a 5 minute wait. Definitely will not be doing the Orange side anytime soon again. That side made me ill last year!

So then we hit up Test Track. Here are some pics from the ride, all taken with my point and shoot. There is no way I’d be using my dslr here!

5005789954_54b418dd30_o.jpg

Love test track!! After that, DH decided to spend a moment getting “cool”

5005790618_95c935f48d_o.jpg

So we are finally getting slightly hungry but I wanted to do Spaceship Earth before we headed over to World Showcase. We did the questionnaire thing at the end of the ride, and I think we picked the same thing we got last year because our “scenario” was the same. Next time I will remember to pick really different things.

5005791748_d599855d1f_o.jpg

5005180197_52cd18acde_o.jpg

We spend a few minutes after the ride hanging out in the area with the games. We played the Green energy game which you have to move orbs of energy to different areas in a grid. The game is run via motion detectors and the images are projected on the floor, you use these plastic hockey stick looking things to move the orbs. Lots of sweaty fun. We did this last year and had a good time too.

Then we did one of the driving simulations too. That was pretty fun. We headed up to World Showcase, but we also ran and did Figment too, well because there was no line and it was right there. It was better than I had remembered it.

Coming up…we are finally hungry again, and just in time for Illuminations!

At first, I wasn't crazy about the new game on SE, but after we did it last year again, I decided I really do like it! We emailed our little video to ourselves and I saved it on the computer so we can watch it over and over.

Your pics from the Meet & Greet are so cute! I definitely have to remember to do that this year!

I'm only about half way through your report and loving it. We have stayed at POFQ twice and LOVED it!! It is sooo quiet. We are trying POR this time and I'm nervous.... I know it's beautiful, but it's just the unknown. We have also stayed at WL but there was something about POFQ that we loved! Can't wait to read about the rest of your trip.

Erica

Super update! What a great time in Future World. With all the rain, was Innoventions really crowded or not? Looks like you were able to do some fun things! We like the pick a future at the end of Spaceship Earth. This year, we mixed it up and did "opposite" choices and once we made the selections alphabetically.

I was going to try and not comment on the photos, but I can't help myself. Great as always, even with the point and shoot!

Great update! I MUST remember to do the Disney Visa cardholder meet and greet the next time, I ALWAYS forget about that! :sad2:

Sounds like you had a great time in Future World! I too had an experience with Mission Space: orange side that will leave me sticking with green for a while! :rotfl: Awesome pictures of you two on Test Track!!! Can't wait to hear about your dinner at Biergarten.

When did you get your Disney Visa photo? We lined up about 15 minutes before it started.

You did Test Track just after the big storm in the afternoon right? That's when we did it too! They closed it down and we got FPs and then did Spaceship Earth and got our free photo and by that time it was open again and we got in standby line and by the time we were out it was time to use our FPs!

I keep looking for us in your photos, but I know I didn't see you because I would have made a big deal out of your Hubby's shirt. I love funny shirts like that!

:rotfl:Ok so I keep looking at everyone's pics of the coke station (and I am the HUGEST addict to Diet Coke) and I was like
"where is the coke place!!! I have never seen it before!!!!"
my DH was pretty amused that I was so angry I haven't found the Coke place hahaha:rotfl2: I hope they have Diet!!!

Since I am there 3 days with just the girls this trip before DH comes I think we are going to spend some serious time in Innoventions. They would love all the crafty activities. But they wouls SOOO want to keep those frogs.

Great update and of course awesome pictures! I always miss out on so much in innoventions. I wish we would have done the paper thing. How cool is that? We did do the frogs..and yes, you get to take them with you. DD made one for her fiance. He is a herpetologist so thought it would be kinda a neat souvenir for him. I love Club Cool. I do wish that the drinks were not so sweet. I can only handle so much sugar and I kinda like to leave my allowance for the goodies in Norway...France... etc. :rolleyes1

Love your pics!! I'm waiting for more!!!!:)

Thank you!

I so want your skills at taking pictures. I'm so wanting it that I was going to look at getting a DSLR although I rarely use my camera (other than to take photos of my cats).

Dole Whip Convention is on!

We should totally be planning a trip with just us girls...and Dole Whip!

Awaiting your next post...your photos are beautiful---glad you enjoyed your trip.

Thank you! Hopefully the Day 3 Part 2 post will suffice for now!

Yeah I didn't know we could email it back home until we rode it the 2nd time last year, so we totally did that this year. It's a lot of fun.
The meet & greet is the best part about having the Disney visa!

Hi Erica and thank you for visiting! POFQ was great! I think you will have a great time at POR too! They both look so beautiful.

Innoventions wasn't that crowded during the entire time we were there, but there was definitely more people during the rain than other times. We totally did the opposite thing on the next time we rode SE. Thanks again for the compliment!

Great update! I MUST remember to do the Disney Visa cardholder meet and greet the next time, I ALWAYS forget about that! :sad2:

That Meet n Greet is the best perk about the Visa card! And it's totally free which is awesome. The orange side of MS makes me want to puke. So green for me from now on.

When did you get your Disney Visa photo? We lined up about 15 minutes before it started.

We were definitely there after it opened so there was a bit of a line, but it moved quickly. Yup we rode TT after the storm that day. It would be so funny if you were in the same car as us on TT, LOL.

your pictures are beautiful! cant wait to read more!

Thank you!

:rotfl:Ok so I keep looking at everyone's pics of the coke station (and I am the HUGEST addict to Diet Coke) and I was like

Alas I dont' think they have diet as part of the free samples from club cool. Club cool is right off Innoventions West (I think) I know where it is when I'm there, but I can't seem to point it out on a map, LOL for my poor map skills. It's definitely a must-do though. I mean free refreshing sodas on a hot florida day? I'd be happy to go there any time. We went there twice that day too. I do admit I am rarely thirsty in Epcot. LOL.
According to anmarieda you can totally keep the frogs!

Great update and of course awesome pictures! I always miss out on so much in innoventions. I wish we would have done the paper thing. How cool is that? The paper thing was super cool. It was awesome. I love how you get to make things and keep them at Innoventions. I remember one year, probably in 2003, we got to make these plastic robots. They were great. Wow Kira's Fiance is a herpetologist? That's really neat. And what a great souvenir she got for him. :cutie: It fits perfectly.
Club cool is awesome, and I notice some of the dispensers worked better than others, some diluted the drinks more while some left it too sweet, I had to play around with different machines to find one that produced the ratio I liked.

We couldn't have been since BF and I sat together both times. And with never going on it before he made me sit in the front row!

I can't believe we were on the same ride about the same time!

Great update! Innoventions looks like fun! Do you know I've never been in there? I'll have to check it out on this trip! Making paper looks so cool, I didn't know you could do that there! :thumbsup2

Love the Test Track pictures! :) I wanted to take pictures while we were on rides last year, but I was too afraid I'd drop my camera, because I didn't have the wrist strap! Definitely bringing that in November!
