Chunkymonkey and Chubbyhubby eat for free! WE ARE BACK! Photo Teasers pg. 23!!

Just found your PTR so I am joining in! I sat and read it all, and it is wonderful so far! Looking forward to more! Don't know if you decided yet, but we are doing deluxe dining in December, it will be a first for us.... Just seemed a better fit b/c of all the TS we wanted to do, plus it comes with the mugs and 2 snacks!

:worship: Deluxe!! That is going to be incredible! Some day I hope to do deluxe. For now, I will just be in awe of those of you who do! (and by awe, I mean... be a little jealous ;) )

glad you got the T-Rex ADR!

Love your purchases from Disney Couture, they have great stuff. I like their shirts as well :)

Joining in. Getting caught up on your PTR.

Hi! Thanks for visiting! I am starting to read your PTR too, and looks like we are both doing the free dining! I also have twins in my family, I have twin sisters who are younger than me. They are about 25 years old now and they both just got married in the past 2 years. They are identical and very close. :cool1::cool1:

I'm looking forward to hearing about T-Rex! I'm iffy about trying that one so hopefully you have some good reviews!

Thanks Heather! I have heard lots of different opinions of T-Rex, but I guess I just wanted to see for myself. We shall see!:cool2:

Hi Erin! Thanks for visiting! The DxDP sounds great! One day I'd like to try it, but for now, I think we're going to stick with the regular plan since it's free. It may be a possibility if we decided to downgrade our resort from deluxe to moderate though! I like your PTR, can't wait to read more!
:cheer2:

I have always been jealous of anyone who stayed at deluxe resorts too! I honestly used to stay off-property all the time, this is the first time we're doing everything Disney! We're only doing Deluxe because of the free dining. We rarely spend that much time at the resort so it's not worth it to us. Next year when we go back, we're going to go moderate most likely. :flower3:

glad you got the T-Rex ADR!

Love your purchases from Disney Couture, they have great stuff. I like their shirts as well :)

Thanks!! I have never seen their shirts but I will make sure to look out for them! I wonder if they sell their stuff at the parks?

I just read your whole PTR so far! Sounds like you have some great plans so far! I see you're just an indecisive as me!

I love your photography!!! So beautiful! And you have a fantastic website!

I see you have a Holga! Awesome! I love plastic cameras! :)

Where in SoCal is your DH's family from? I grew up in San Diego! I love Disneyland! I have a very special place in my heart for DL since that's where I spent my childhood! I didn't go to WDW until I was 23! And yes... DL really doesn't compare to WDW... but still... childhood memories!!! Oh, the Indiana Jones ride is one of my favorites!!! I love it!

I'm happy to see you mentioned the Lost finale! I am such a Lost fanatic!!! I even have the numbers 4 8 15 16 23 42 tattooed on my arm! I also really enjoyed the finale. I cried like a baby!

We have a movie theater here that has dining tables instead of theater seating. And they have waiters that come to your table and serve you food during the movie. It's a really cool experience. Well, they showed the Lost finale there, so that's where I saw it. It was really fun and I had a great time!

I'm surprised to see so many people having trouble getting ADRs at T-Rex! It's not on the dining plan, so it was pretty empty when we went there last year during free dining! We had no trouble walking in!

Anyway, great PTR so far! Can't wait to read more!

Thanks!! I have never seen their shirts but I will make sure to look out for them! I wonder if they sell their stuff at the parks?

Last year Urban Outfitters was selling their shirts. I got one of Mickey & Minnie as cowboy & cowgirl, it was really cute. I've also seen them in Loehmann's. As for the parks, I am not sure! That would be really cool if they did though!

Thanks! I am terribly indecisive about certain things, and for other things, I am not. I am sure my plans may change a few times before our trip!:rotfl:

Aww thank you. At this point, I do it mainly for friends and family. I did advertise a little bit on wedding websites just to get experience with building my portfolio, but I was unemployed at the time. I now work full time again, so I dont' have much time for the side business, so I do it mosty by referral.

DH's family is from Hemet, CA. It's a small town in Riverside County. He did go to San Diego quite often and he really likes it there. We did our engagement pictures in downtown San Diego. We got married actually out in Temecula, CA. It was soooo pretty!

Gotta love Indiana Jones. I am surprised that WDW doesn't have it! It's like one of my favorite rides ever! I do love DL though, I love how the parks are right across from each other and you could jump back and forth easily with no buses, or transfers. And DCA is pretty awesome too.

OMG I LOVE LOST!!! I was so sad it ended, but I loved the ending. I think the pilot and the end were my 2 favorite episdes of TV. EVER. I cried like a baby too. I rewatched it and cried like a baby AGAIN! :rotfl:
Wow you have the numbers tatooed?? That is a true fan!! I am scared of pain. LOL or else I think tatoos are soo pretty. My cousin and friends have them and I'm always admiring them.
That's so neat that your movie theatre has such a cool concept. Sorta like Sci-Fi Dine In, minus the Disney part of course. Sounds like an awesome time!!

Really? That is weird that it's hard to get an ADR there. I wonder if it's because they just don't give out very many ADRs in general. Some places cater primarily to walk-ins. But I'd think that most places would like to give out ADRs. I mean, it is somewhat of a guarantee that they would get paying patrons during that time right? :confused3

Thanks again! Love your PTR too btw. Looks like we have a lot of the same interests!

Yay, thanks for the tip! I live near both a Loehmann's and Urban. I go to Loehmanns all the time so I will make sure I look out for them! :cool1:

So I'm trying to figure out what would be the best options when using our snack credits at Disney. I was looking at this thread here to get some ideas on what each park/resort offers as snack credits.

DH and I like to snack a lot, sometimes we even split a QS meal and then supplement our day with lots of snacks. This allows us to try different things around the parks, and not spoil our appetite for our TS meal! We won't be using our snack credits to just get a soda or bottle of water. We'd rather pay OOP for that and save our SC for something more substantial, that ultimately will be a better value.

So what are some of your favorite snacks in the parks/resorts?

Here are some of mine:

Cream-cheese stuffed pretzel in Tomorrowland
Dole Whip in MK
Frozen Chocolate dipped bananas - they are found at all the ice cream carts at all/most parks.(I don't know if this counts as a snack credit? Can anyone verify?)
Pastries from France and Norway pavillions in Epcot (school bread, anyone?)
Giant soft pretzel from Germany pavillion in Epcot
Cupcake from anyplace that has a good-looking one, really.
Popcorn! I am such a popcorn snob. I can't stand microwave popcorn. I love movie theater popcorn. I eat so much of it it's insane. I love freshly popped corn, but it must have the right ratio or salt/butter during the popping process. I never put any butter toppings on my popcorn though, it's way to greasy for me. I can't remember how much a bag costs at WDW, so I can't be sure if it's worth a snack credit or not. popcorn::

I think you named just about all of my favorites. I love the pastries in Norway. The sweet pretzel and the school bread are a must! With or without the heat, I always have to have a dole whip float. I love the cupcakes at Starring Rolls and at Kusafiri Coffee Shop and Bakery. (the white chocolate elephant one at Kusafiri is to die for!) KRNR in DHS has the best smoothies. Finally if you have a chance to to to POFQ, try the beignets. 1 sc will get you three beignets.

Beignets!! I will definitely try to get some! It will give me a bit of POFQ spirit even though I am not staying there this time. Gimme some fried dough and I am all over it! I love smoothies too, so gotta check out KRNR as well. Thanks!!

Our favorite snack credit was a cappuccino smoothie from Auntie Gravity's. I think we had about four of those on our last trip. We also liked the ham and cheese croissant from the bakery in France.

The last time DH and I were on the dining plan I had no idea you could get so many different items that counted as snack! This time I plan to capitalize on that information! I think your list looks awesome! I have never tried a Dole Whip but I am definitely going to this trip! I have personal issue with chocolate covered frozen bananas, but it's just because I have weak teeth and biting into the cold hard banana sends shivers up my spine! :rotfl:

Cappuccino smoothie? Sounds decadent! Is it kind of like a frappucinno at Starbucks? Mmm. I love ham and cheese too. That sounds like a great savory snack! I love anything from the bakery in France. I don't think you can go wrong there!

Dole Whip is da bomb! Do you like pineapple? You have to love pineapple. Or you can get it fused with vanilla ice cream, but I go for the pineapple always. It's kinda like if sherbert were made into a soft-serve, if you can imagine how that would taste. It's both refreshing and creamy at the same time. It's just plain yummy! If I am thirsty I get the float which is just dole whip on pineapple juice. :cutie:
I hear you about the frozen bananas. Sometimes I have to wait a while before I can bite into one esp if it's frozen solid! I love the banana-choc combo though, one of my faves :lovestruc

My sis and I are obsessed with popcorn (like you, no butter, of course. It just tastes funny to me). Last year she got popcorn every day we were in Disney. For some reason popcorn always tastes 100 times better there.

Some other faves are mine are ice cream and anything from Main Street Bakery, especially their cinnamon roll :cloud9:

The pastries from France pavilion are sooo good. I have yet to try anything from Norway but I really want to! Especially their school bread!

Ohh yes, the infamous cream cheese pretzel- I am definitely trying this next trip. It sounds delicious.

you guys are making me SOOO hungry!! :rotfl2: I had no idea that KRNR sold smoothies! WHERE HAVE I BEEN!? And please tell me where in Tomorrowland I can get a cream cheese stuffed pretzel? :hyper: MUST HAVE ONE!!!!! (or eight!)

You can get them at the Lunching Pad. I can't wait to try one! :hyper:

That's what I figured.... I definitely need to add this to the list! :thumbsup2 Seriously, I'm going to gain so much weight on this trip! :rotfl2:

wow popcorn everyday? that sounds totally like me. I am the only person that gets a refill of popcorn AFTER the movie is over! I take the bag home and munch on it all week until I go to the movies again. LOL Hey, they offered free refills! popcorn::

school bread is great! it's rich, like a cream puff and dusted with flaky coconut. yum. I am definitely getting school bread again.

the cc pretzel is amazing. It was the best new discovery of our last trip to the world. and heck, I thought I knew everything! goes to show how there is something new to learn and love on each trip. wonder what we will find on this trip?

It's soooo good. I totally dream about it here. I do dip large soft pretzels into softened cream cheese and caramel sauce and that is pretty good too. Just to pass the time until the next trip to tommorowland!

me too. I am totally going to gain weight too. I am trying to lose some right now. Doing some yoga and working out is my thing for the next few months. hopefully i can lose more weight than gain back on. hehe
