Hmm, it is pretty stressful during the morning and when you arrive etc. But after you get one, you can breathe a huge sigh of relief. The 30 mins of stress is better than waiting in line for 4 + hours though!

Day 3: The end of Trip #1

Our last day before we had to "leave" WDW - and we were back at DHS! DHS has taken a huge 180 in recent months from being a half-day park to a large, very time consuming park! Because of the addition of Toy Story Land and Galaxy's Edge, it is slowly turnng into our go-to park. We just love the rides here, Slinky Dog, RnRC, TSMM, and now RoTR. I want to ride everything so at that time we had to make FP there for multiple days if we wanted to ride both TSMM, RnRC, and Slinky dog on a trip! But now that TSMM and RnRC are Tier 2 fast passes it is a HUGE relief!! I still make it so that we have FP at DHS for more than one day a trip just because I love Slinky so much and could just ride it over and over (also now that Smuggler's Run is a Tier 1 too). All it needs now is more quick service and table service options and I'll be the happiest camper. Although it's not too bad to hop to Epcot during a festival for some eats.

That last morning we packed up, put the lid on our nice new owner's locker and checked out. Because we have the locker now, we had to wait for bell services to come pick up our stuff whereas before we would just walk with our bags to the lobby to save time (sometimes they can take a while!). But it's just something to note now that we have the locker so will have to allow time for this when we check out and even when we do a split stay.

Today I was in an R2-D2 mode.

The necklace you see me wearing I actually bought at GE the day before! I picked it up from the store attached to Droid Depot.
We took the bus to DHS. Steve was also in R2-D2 mode:

So during the previews they had given out these maps which had legends for the Aurebesh symbols.
Steve was practicing translating in Launch Bay:

He seems to know the words Danger and Caution by heart but he seems to be learning new words each time

I have no idea what this says, I'll have to ask Steve.

We got our picture with another favorite droid, BB-8! I really wish they had an R2 meet-n-greet!
I love that droid so much! He's the unsung hero of the rebellion/resistance.

I really liked a bag I saw in launch bay, so I bought it! I'll show it later on.

We did our first FP at...Toy Story! I don't think I was the winner. I'm usually on the left.

Still, it is such a fun ride and it really brings out the competitiveness in me. I usually cannot care less about competing with Steve in other things, but once we are on Toy Story, I put my game face on.

We had fun at the Incredibles photo op:

I believe our other FP were for Star Tours and I think Muppets although we skipped Muppets because we had a late lunch at:

I started with a cocktail, I can't remember what this one is exactly but I think it had limoncello.

We got some warm rolls with olive oil:

And we shared a salad to start. I really like this salad! I think this was the:

Chef's Choice of Seasonal Ingredients - looks like there was romain, cucumbers, red onion, asparagus, arugula, tomatoes, feta and croutons. It had a red wine type vinaigrette and it was tasty!

As an entree I always get the:

Charred Strip Steak
Four-Cheese Macaroni with Pancetta, Aged Balsamic-Shallot Butter, and Chianti Wine Reduction

Although it's not the best cut of steak, it is tender enough and flavored well, and the mac n cheese with the wine reduction is just delicious! They should sell that mac n cheese on it's own as it's really that good!

Steve got the:

Oven-baked Chicken alla Parmigiana
Breaded Chicken Breast with Marinara Sauce topped with Melted Mozzarella over Spaghetti

It was good, although fairly standard but the red sauce is nice and the chicken was not rubbery as it was the last time we ate this.

I finally had time to sit down and take pictures of my new bag. It's from Harvey's which is the brand that makes bags from that seatbelt material. It's Star Wars themed, and I like that you can use it as a tote and crossbody as well! The best part is the zipper, representing light side and dark side light sabers. It was a really cool design.

But the most awesome part was that I used my Disney Visa Rewards card which I had been saving up and the bag cost me...0.75 cents!!! #winning

Sadly it was time to leave the park as we had to make it to ME and on our flight back home, but before that...a very special DISmeet with one of my first DISmeets ever! @Tracy161!!!

She was just about to head into her GE preview. Unfortunately it was raining so we just met up at the overhang near the muppets theater. It's always a pleasure to chat with one of my oldest DISboard buddies!!

We headed out of the park amidst the rain and back to ASMo and took ME back to the airport. It was such a short but sweet trip and yet we get to do it all over again the next weekend!!!

And here is my cobb salad! I asked them for the dressing on the side because I like to control the amount on my salad to avoid getting it too soggy. It was good for this sweltering day and was light yet filling. I don't remember what Steve got as I don't have a picture!

What a great day!! We had our first glimpse of Galaxy's Edge, I got to ride the Millenium Falcon, and we shut down MK! It didn't even matter we were leaving the next day! Well, we'd be back next weekend, so that helped!

You're lucky to live close enough that a plane trip is so easy, but far enough that you are forced to stay overnight when you do go.

You pay monthly? We just have an annual fee. We dont pay baggage fees cause we fly SW, but the stuff I mostly keep in mine is stuff that we wouldn't bring/have otherwise without the locker.

Trip #2 Arrival at Coronado

It was a pretty rushed week in between trips, but thankfully it was August and it was relatively slow at work and my boss was on vacation so I didn't feel too much pressure, LOL. So by the time next Friday rolled around we were even more ready to go on vacation (again)! I had gotten a text that afternoon that our room was ready at Coronado Springs - imagine getting a text before you're even on the plane, LOL. It just makes you not want to do any work!

Taken at one of the Newark airport restaurants Friday afternoon. Our flight was at 5pm.

Steve and I shared a chicken salad sandwich and fries with sauteed broccoli rabe for an early dinner.

We arrived in MCO and headed straight to ME. Since we have the Owner's locker now it's very easy to just pack clothes in carry-ons so no need to check baggage (unless it's a much longer trip!)

We're home (again!)

The first stop on our bus was Coronado Springs where we were spending one night - at the Gran Destino tower.

Look at this beauty!

Although when we walked into our room we were greeted with the wrong name LOL. Hope the Mollo family doesnt' see this charge on their room bill (although that would have been nice, hahaha)

(Also notice the hidden Mickey in the wallpaper to the left of Steve)

Our room was just a standard view room. It was just lovely though. Everything was swanky and new.

We weren't hungry but we went to get our water bottles filled at the quick service so did a bit of exploring.

I could really live here!

I believe this is one of the old check-in areas? It's near the quick service.

We went to the top floor to check out the Dahlia bar.

We didn't get anything since I wanted to be up bright and early but we just admired the view from the outdoor seating area.

Meanwhile, my sister, Chunkysis, was in Singapore that August. I was going to join her in a few days (literally 2 days after we get back from this trip). She sent me this picture. Disney was having a Mickey Mouse campaign in Singapore and my character-crazy sister had to seek out the one and only Meet n Greet in Singapore.

We both agreed it felt like a deluxe Vegas hotel much more than a moderate! However I really liked the Mickey touches which are subtlely and tastefully done in the decor. I think it's just beautiful and would very much like to stay here again in the future!

We weren't too hungry but I brought snacks so we just snacked in the room and I watched my favorite Disney blue screen before calling it a night. We had to check out tomorrow (too bad) but we were headed to Epcot! Stay tuned!!

You pay monthly? We just have an annual fee. We dont pay baggage fees cause we fly SW, but the stuff I mostly keep in mine is stuff that we wouldn't bring/have otherwise without the locker.

When they set us us I think they just did it monthly and we never changed it. I don't care either way as long as I'm paying the same amount yearly which I'm pretty sure is the same.
