We have a 2 yo and were thinking about taking her. I have 2 questions. Will there be enough stuff for a kid her age, and how many tokens would we need?
They have coupons on the website for the tokens, but I don't want to buy more than we need. I figued we would stay for 2 hours, and eat somewhere else before going.

the one by us has a very small section for kids that age..i think in general they are all geared towards the 4 year olds and up..u wont really need tokens for her because shes too small to play any of the games that u need the tokens for like skeeball, arcade games etc. u could just bring her to see all the kids and the show they put on there. it doesnt cost u anything to go in , so go enjoy for like an hour and then eat somewhere else. btw----their pizza is gross. at least to the few we ve been too.

Thanks. We were going to go to the Savannah, GA location. They have a coupon for 65 tokens for $15. But if she doesnt need tokens for say, the ball pit then we probably wont buy any. Just seems odd that we could get in for free, not buy anything and still use the stuff. I went to a niece's Bday party like, 10 years ago and seem to remember some of those mechanical rides, like a train or rocket ship that would take tokens. But even she cant go on that 65 times!

My 21 month old had a blast. There were games that he liked and he really loved riding on the police motorcycle. He like the merry go round and the truck ride.

We are signed up for emails and had a coupon for 19.99 that included a pizza, three drinks and 50 tokens. We also had a 20 token birthday coupon for my DS7. On their website there is a skee ball game you can play for tickets. We had coupons for 32 tickets each.

That being said 1 hour and 15 minutes was all we could take with 70 tokens. DS1 probably used 20 tokens.

This an accurate price/token usage for that age. The constant casino atmosphere doesn't bother me at all. I have a freidn, tho, who can't take the noise.

We have a blanket rule of no CeC on weekends or school vacation weeks. It's a madhouse.

I've found going early in the morning was best when DS was little.

I'm not sure they have ball pits anymore. I know they've gotten rid of them in all the CeC's we've been in over the past few years.

I think a 2yr old could do a lot in there but it would take them longer so 65 tokens would be way too many for just her. If more than 1 adult is going then 65 tokens might not be enough. ;)

I stock up on the tokens when they are heavily discounted or they are free for birthdays, or surveys. So I just bring a set amount when we go and when they are gone they are gone.

My nearly 3 year old has been going since he was about 1 and a half... he has an older sister, but he loves it! He plays games, rides the little rides and generally has a ball. They have a small play area for the smaller kids with stuff like a Barney phone, and a small climbing thing with a little slide too. Make sure you do the "games" where you get a picture of your kiddo with it. We have made that a tradition. There is one where you sit and look at the screen and it gives you a decent picture, and one where they get a little card about like a credit card size, but it has their pic on it- DS got one with him on a fireman badge and one as a police man (they have girl ones too). He loves those! I may have to take him again soon... he has been asking for Chunky Cheeeese again.. :lmao:

Sign up for the email coupons. As a new member you will get the best deal for about $20 you can get tokens, pizza and drinks. Then download a "free" calendar for sleeping, potty training whatever fits on there site for an extra 10 tokens per kid if you buy pizza, the coupons can be combined. Pay an extra $1 to upgrade the childs up to a souvenir cup which is refillable for free at future visits.

My youngest is less than 3 and he will find a coupon or cc metal, hat, etc around the house and estatically beg to go to "chukeee cheeesee":thumbsup2

She is the perfect age for our CEC in Buford, GA. Not sure how many are similar but the others we have been too have been close. They have a toddler area with 3 or 4 rides and small slide/play area. Then the older kid area still had a ton of stuff she could do. Then you have the arcade area which won't have alot for her.

We enjoy their pizza, not for everyday, but once a while. I also think 20 tokens will be more then enough.

I saw on their website where they advertise "new" pizza. Have you tried it since they changed? Hows the new pizza?

Ok - I must confess I loved CeC when my kids were younger. I really miss it!

My younger son's favorite "ride" was to run to push the emergency door open so the alarm would go off - what fun!:rolleyes1

Tee hee! This is the CEC I was talking about too! We love the one in Buford! Just took DS2 the other day and he keeps asking, "Chuck Cheese agin pease!"

So yeah- it's a hit at 2 years.... and we spent a whopping $9 for about 2 hours of fun. We got some cheese sticks and a drink and some tokens. He had a blast. Def use one of the coupons for free tokens- his was for brushing his teeth. :goodvibes
