I know this movie will be rated PG, do you guys think it would be appropriate for DD 6 or too scary? I can't decide. Her grandparents want to take her over the Christmas holidays as a special treat. Any thought/opinions would be appreciated!

From the preview it looks like it will be intense but knowing the story the children aren't hurt in any way. It would probably depend on your child. We will see it on the 9th... and I can let you know then.

It would depend on your child. None of the children are hurt but one of the other main characters is (a very good character) and I remember being upset reading the scene as a child.

You might want to read it to her first. She'll know what's coming in the movie but the first time she's exposed to it won't have the visual cues that can make wonderful stories a bit overwhelming to little ones.
