It was decided that we had had enough of Character Breakfasts and that we would just leisurely go to Animal Kingdom to catch the bus!
We placed our luggage by the door before we headed over to Port Royale for our farwell meal. Breakfast Croissant! We ate and said our goodbyes. Went back to the room to get our carryons and headed to AK! It was great not to have to worry about the other luggage! They magically appear and disappear and reappear!LOL
We caught the 'Tarzan Rocks' show before we boarded the bus. We were told by a CM to sit on the driver's side so that when you crest the bridge, you will get a "Wonder"ful surprise!
The bus ride was uneventful, and yes it was a sight to behold! Seeing the Wonder docked there! All these months, it was just a picture! Now it was before our eyes! I gasped at the sight of her! There I was, acting my shoes size and not my age! But after planning this trip since April 2002! Well you know!
I just wish the Disney Transfer Bus would get there earlier! Being Canadian, we had to check in at the dock and by the time we got thru everything and dropped our day stuff in the cabin, etc., etc., we barely made the buffet lunch. Felt very rushed!
The luggage was there and wanted to take out the clothes for dinner but had a hard time finding someone with something sharp enough to cut through the cable ties. Finally found a maintenance guy who had a swiss army knife! Thanks again.
Mickeymom626 and her DD came around and introduced themselves. Caught up late at the Sailaway party. Hi guys! Met up with Minybear again. Hi!
Then it was off to get ready for Dinner as we had early seating!
We were partnered with another Single Mom and DD, which was nice. Our server was Cecellia and Sunil. They were great. Our first night was PC and really enjoyed. They celebrated DD's birthday once again! And she recieved a beautiful pin commemerating this event on the Wonder! What was really nice is that the gave the other DD one also so that she did not feel left out.
After dinner, the kids went to the club and Mom's headed for the show! The shows are FANTASTIC! Now I know why Barb doesn't mind see the shows over and over again. They are great! After the show DD wanted to stay at the club so mom went Shopping!
The next day it was off to Nassau!
We had DD's hair done and I managed to get a great deal on shoes. But then this was the start of the downhill spiral of our vacation!
When we returned to the ship, it was too late for lunch and still a couple of hours till dinner. I let DD have a Chilli Dog! Big Mistake!
I won't go into the gruesome details but we never got to do the Dolphin Encounter the next day in Freeport! Luckily we had a window for me to look out of! Needless to say, we missed Animator's but from what the other mother told me, we didn't miss much meal wise!
Let's hope there is hope for Castaway Cay!
Note to Room Service, one slice of turkey does not a sandwich make!
