Dream come true! We will be at WDW for the Christmas Holidays this year. Since we will be in a 2 bedroom at OKW, we have space for a Christmas tree. Does anyone know if they still allow Christmas tree swaps (one family checking out leaves their tree and the next family borrows or buys it from them)? I'm looking at an artificial tree because I'm pretty sure a live tree would be problematic. Any ideas or suggestions are appreciated. :-) 🎄

It’s been a long time since there was a DVC Christmas tree exchange here. You can start a thread to see if there’s interest. 🎄

I helped facilitate it the last time we did it. Several resorts didn't have trees, and it cost me about twice as much to ship a tree there and back as it did the previous year (and this was several years ago). :(

I think worse case, we will run into Target (or similar) and hopefully find one on sale.

Huh never heard of this before! Will be at OKW for Christmas as well checking in Dec 22

We are at Riviera over Christmas - and every year we bring a tree (4-ft), decorate it, and also bring lites for the balcony.

This was our tree from last Christmas from Boulder Ridge villas. We could see it while sitting in the hot tub. The day we left (Dec 26) We left it by the elevator along with refillable mugs and popcorn buckets with a note asking someone to enjoy it and it was gone within five minutes. We purchased it at Walmart but brought the decorations with us.

Yes, I think postage is what did the great tradition in.
The idea was you were asked to contribute to postage while using it but there were reports of people not contributing. We did it three times and the people donating were great people

We participated in the tree exchange a few years. It really was a wonderful addition to the room during the holiday season.
