December 21, 2009 Day 11
The kids picked me up at 5:30, packed my luggage and walked with me to the lobby to return my
scooter. I said goodby to them and Jesse and 10 of 6, I went outside and parked my scooter and gave the key to the front desk. By the time I got back outside, my Tiffany driver was there. It was a ½ hour trip to the airport. I checked in and got through security and found my gate by 7. Now I can relax for an hour and 45 minutes. I was hoping to find a place for breakfast, but everyplace just had lunch. I had set my alarm for 4:45 to give me a chance to get ready and finish packing my suitcase. I was ready for eggs. Unfortunately all that was available were pastries, sandwiches and wraps. Not what I want. Right now it is cloudy as I sit at gate 32.
It has been a wonderful trip. Now all I have to worry about is if my driver at home can get in my driveway with two feet of snow at least.
When we got to my house I had a wonderful surprise. My driveway had been cleared all they way to the back. My wonderful neighbor across the street was worried about me, so he did it so I wouldnt have to walk all the way back to my door. I was so surprised. I still had to slog my way to the back porch and up the stairs. My driver, a wonderful lady, carried my back pack for me so I could blaze the trail. I made it back inside safe and sound. Chuck will come over tomorrow and do a bit of shoveling while Karen takes me grocery shopping.
I am happy to be back home to my own bed and bath tub. I put on all my Christmas lights and had a nice quiet evening watching all my soaps that I had recorded and a few other shows.
I have so many wonderful memories of our trip now and I know Ron was there with me, smiling at everything we did. He would be so proud of how good Jesse was and how the kids took such good care of me.
Now all I have to do is wait for all those photopass pictures to come. Well, that and unpack and do the wash and put everything away and wrap all of Jesse presents, and get ready for Christmas day with my family.
