December 21, 2009 Day 11

The kids picked me up at 5:30, packed my luggage and walked with me to the lobby to return my scooter. I said goodby to them and Jesse and 10 of 6, I went outside and parked my scooter and gave the key to the front desk. By the time I got back outside, my Tiffany driver was there. It was a ½ hour trip to the airport. I checked in and got through security and found my gate by 7. Now I can relax for an hour and 45 minutes. I was hoping to find a place for breakfast, but everyplace just had lunch. I had set my alarm for 4:45 to give me a chance to get ready and finish packing my suitcase. I was ready for eggs. Unfortunately all that was available were pastries, sandwiches and wraps. Not what I want. Right now it is cloudy as I sit at gate 32.

It has been a wonderful trip. Now all I have to worry about is if my driver at home can get in my driveway with two feet of snow at least.

When we got to my house I had a wonderful surprise. My driveway had been cleared all they way to the back. My wonderful neighbor across the street was worried about me, so he did it so I wouldn’t have to walk all the way back to my door. I was so surprised. I still had to slog my way to the back porch and up the stairs. My driver, a wonderful lady, carried my back pack for me so I could blaze the trail. I made it back inside safe and sound. Chuck will come over tomorrow and do a bit of shoveling while Karen takes me grocery shopping.

I am happy to be back home to my own bed and bath tub. I put on all my Christmas lights and had a nice quiet evening watching all my soaps that I had recorded and a few other shows.

I have so many wonderful memories of our trip now and I know Ron was there with me, smiling at everything we did. He would be so proud of how good Jesse was and how the kids took such good care of me.

Now all I have to do is wait for all those photopass pictures to come. Well, that and unpack and do the wash and put everything away and wrap all of Jesse presents, and get ready for Christmas day with my family.

Well, that's the end of my trip report. We all had a wonderful time. I know it will be a few years before we get back with the new baby coming. But it is something to look forward to. It will be a whole new experience because Jesse will be older and will remember more and will be able to understand things better. New baby will have a great time seeing the characters just like Jesse did.

I hope you all enjoyed it. I know I enjoyed writing it and reliving it all.

Great report Mary (why didn't you tell me it was in installments...I just read it all in one sitting!!!:rotfl2:) Just loved seeing you all, looking so happy. I know Ron was looking out for you and saying, "There's my beautiful gal!" Glad you were able to enjoy yourself, even if he wasn't physically there with you.

Now of course I want to go back....NOW!! Brought back lots of memories. Not sure I remembered what all those initials stand for (but I made a good attempt!). And of course now I'm also STARVING---the food there is soooo good (especially at Boma, Chef Mickeys, Kona, Canada's Steakhouse (I forget the name)... and just about everywhere! (oops! now I just drooled on my keyboard!!)

Stay safe and warm this week-end. Looks like we're going to get clobbered again! (And WHY is it that we aren't in WDW RIGHT NOW!! :confused3)

Big Hugs, girlfriend...thanks for the memories! pat/pbnj

ps..did I say I LOVE your photos?!!!

Thanks Pat. I will send you a list of the initials in email. Glad you liked it.

:thumbsup2 Great job on your TR! I love the pictures of you & your son's family!

My DD will be 27 mos when we go in December, and I'm hoping she will be half as excited as Jesse was to see all of the characters!

Thank you tr-ray. I think he was so excited to see them because he had seen them every day on Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. They were just like old friends when he finally got to meet them.

Oh, Angelrose, I am so sorry for your TR to end. I looked forward to reading each installment.

Your family is wonderful to you and you are especially so to them - you did lots of babysitting while on vacation - you are all so blessed to have one another. I can just imagine Ron beaming that smile of his.

...and we are blessed to have you here to share your stories and memories with us.

Oh my thank you Christine! I enjoyed writing it. Looking at the pictures brings back so many wonderful memories. I'm sure Ron enjoyed watching over us there too.

Yes! I have it in my subscribed threads, but have not received any recent emails of posts.

Thank you! :flower3:

Great trip report. It looks like youhad so much fun. Your pictures are soo good. What kind of camera did you use?? I'm thinking of getting a new one (or borrowing DD's camera she got for Christmas) when we go. You have a beautiful family. :grouphug:

Thank you ksumn1. It was my son's camera for some and some are photopass pictures. I have no idea what kind of camera he has, except to say that it was around $200 or more.

Minnie&Nana that drink was awesome. It was either a raspberry or strawberry slushie. It was a rather hot day so Chuck and I shared that one and Karen and Jesse shared the Buzz Lightyear one. It really hit the spot.

Thank you AngelRose for a wonderful trip report, I enjoyed every minute! The pictures actually got me teary-eyed at times!

You have the most wonderful son and daughter-in-law, it says alot about what a wonderful person YOU are that they love you so much!

:):)

Oh thank you snappyd. I so glad you liked my report. My kids are wonderful. Karen is more a daughter to me than daughter in law. In fact when I went to her dr last week, he asked if she was my daughter and without thinking I said yes before I corrected myself. LOL Chuck keeps calling to make sure I don't need anything. I am blessed.

I'm kind of sad that my trip report is over. I loved reliving it as I was writing it. I know it will be at least 3 years before we can go again.

But think of all the fun you will have with TWO grandchildren between now and then! :yay:

Having two grandchildren to love and spoil will be wonderful. Jesse is getting so grownup now. Karen said she was at the mall, when Jesse said very loudy that he had to PEEEEEEEE! She rushed him into the ladies room and he made it. He peed and PEED! LOL He is doing very well with potty training now.

I'm dreaming of having the two of them at Disney World. What a trip report that will be.
