i'm sure someone has done this for their family. Any suggestions for hanging?

Also, since we are flying....i don't want to go overboard since we have to take it back home.... Any cute ideas for things to put in the stocking?

oh..don't laugh , my kids are their lower 20's.... This is my 50th birthday present to myself to have us ALL together...and I'm just looking to extend some magic to the resort room .

What about those 3M hooks that come off easily? As for stocking stuffers, what about little picture frames, chocolates, those cute little tins of disney mints, key chain with the year on it, magnets or jewelry?

Following! I will have 2 kids turning 16 and 10 on the trip with the 10yo still being a Santa believer (as far as I know). Luckily we are driving so getting stuff there will be a little easier.

Love stockings! Disney has some super cute one available right now, if you want to make the stocking part of the present (http://thedisneyblog.com/2017/07/27/walt-disney-world-2017-holiday-merchandise-preview/).

I would vote for candy, gift cards, maybe pins or tsum-tsums? You could do a family shirt from etsy that is rolled up each person's stocking? My mom always puts a chocolate orange in ours. Costume jewelry-the packaging will be bigger, but the actual items will be smaller. Fun christmas socks.

And I'm not laughing at all! My mom, ahem Santa, still gives us stockings and the kids are 32, 28, and 24! Last year I actually stocked up on things for my parents and filled up each of their stockings. I got things like chocolate, mobile power chargers, my dad a selfie stick (not good for Disney, but good for their vacation to Niagara Falls this year), an ornament.

The Dollar Tree store can be your best friend. They will have Disney themed stocking and all kinds of small Disney themed trinkets even three packs of Kleenex.

Right up to the year that my mom passed, she did a stocking for me. So, I'm not laughing at all.

I still do stockings for my son (22) and my husband (54) and my husband does one for me (51).

At Disney, I would do Disney stuff. Maybe some stuff for the trip. T-shirt, candy, small toys (yes, even for the older ones.)

We do something every year ... Lately we buy a table top tree at Wal-Mart when we get there and set it up in the room with candy cane decorations on it. Then small gifts appear on Christmas morning (black trash bag at the bottom of a suitcase can do wonders). Gifts are normally money, gift cards, scratch off lottery tickets, small make up items (like lip gloss or travel sets), little things for the kids on the plane ride home. I've also done a family stocking before where we had one big stocking we set out and then Santa filled it with little individual gifts.

I'll never forget Christmas 1996 when we went and Disney hung plastic stockings full of candy/small toys on every door. That was great.

Well I would likely incorporate them into a great window holiday dressing. Get BIG suction cups, these should hold them. I'd get a few strings of lights that could also be put on the windows with suction cups. (I have done a big window decor with just suction cups). You could get some peel off decals or flat holiday cutouts too. Be fun for you and neighbors to enjoy.

Then when I filled them I would like just sit them along the floor.

OR if you aren't using the clothes rod in the living room they could be hung from there, take some string, big twisty or use the hangers.

Not exactly answering your question, BUT Congrats on your 50th Birthday! My birthday is Christmas Eve, and we spent my 50th at Disney. It was the best birthday and Christmas EVER!! It was me, DH, and DD21 and DS23. Although I didn’t think of stockings, we did pack small gifts, lottery tickets, etc. Trust me, just being in Disney together as a family on Christmas, will be gift enough! Happy Birthday and Merry Christmas to you!!

Are you going to be there after Christmas Day? If you are you could get some of their favorite snacks. They could have them to take to the parks and you won't have stuff to bring back. Win, win.

So funny, I came over here this morning to research this exact question. We are going earlier in December. I usually do little tinker bell gifts for my kids. All the cousins are joining us this year so I thought it would be fun to hang stockings to put their little surprises in every morning. But I don't know where or how to hang them! (Staying at boulder ridge in studios if anyone has more ideas)

Get BIG suction cups

This is a great idea, I will look into it :)

We use 3M Command Hooks at home. No marks on the wall and they really hold. I have not had good luck with suction cups myself.

Thank you for asking! And happy year of 50
Please everyone share ideas- we will be staying over Christmas and our kids ages 17-22 will have Santa visit too. Also- Dollar General has cheap prelit Christmas trees. We will bring one of those. Debating whether to bring Christmas gifts or open at home either early or on 26th when we get home
Does anyone know if beach club 2 bedrooms have a window that would be seen if decorated? TY

Looks like Master Bedroom Window or .... looks like the sliding door to the "inside" you could decorate and still be able to slide no problem. I was at Bonnet Creek once for Christmas and we took an inflatable Snowman that we would inflate out on the balcony! No touching anything, so no potential damage.

I love trees. We took a 7 ft slimline prelit with us, all Disney ornaments, used Mickey Santa Hat for topper. We also took a small table top that I decorated up and enjoyed in the buffet in the dining area.

Thank you for the birthday wishes...we get to AoA on dec 12-19th... and I can't hardly contain myself I'm so super excited!

Everyone your suggestions & especially the pictures are very useful!!!

If you are talking about the BCV two bedroom and not the BC resort two bedroom suites, DVC has asked guests not to decorate windows or let decorations show on the outside of the villa. That includes all the DVC resorts like Boulder Ridge and Copper Creek, too.

Every year when we head down Bay Lake always has at least a dozen decorated outside or in windows where they show facing MK. Guess they aren't very strict about enforcing.
