My family has been to WDW several times in early Dec. to enjoy the Christmas activities. This year I decided to ask for a WDW, UO, etc... trip for Christmas. :D It's always so sad when all the packages are all ripped open and underneath the tree is bare. :( We plan on arriving on the 23rd and leaving either the 30th or 31st. We're not partiers, so we haven't decided yet if we would rather be safe at home on NYE. To my questions:

1. We would like to spend Christmas Eve at Epcot touring the Countries (our fav. WDW Christmas activity) and doing the Candlelight Processional package. The only ride we really care about riding is Mission Space. DS has ridden it already, but DH & I haven't. Here's my problem. My health is not good, and there is no way that I can spend an entire day in the park w/o going back to rest at least once. Is Christmas Eve at Epcot so crowded that we will not be able to get back in, if we leave?

2. We aren't planning on going to any parks on Christmas day, because most of that day will be spent allowing DS(12) to enjoy his presents. Any suggestions on where we can have a homey Christmas meal outside of the parks? We'll probably want to eat somewhere between 2pm & 4pm.

3. The only other WDW park that we plan on visiting is MK. We will mostly be going for the Christmas shows. We've been to MVMCP twice and still haven't been able to see all the shows. I also want to see Mickey's Philharmagic, & Stitch's Great Escape. We haven't seen those yet. What Christmas shows are going on the week after Christmas, and do they have the Christmas parade? Also, are the characters at LTT still dressed in their holiday attire that week? How about any other restaurants? Which is the most festive? Unfortunately, again my health problems won't allow us to stay all day. Is there any particular days that we should avoid, because of them filling to capacity. Which day do you recommend that we go?

That's all my questions for now. (enough huh! :teeth: ) I'm sure there'll be more later. Thanks in advance for all the help!

I can't advise on Epcot X-mas Eve, but we may be at Epcot that evening as well.

Mickey's backyard BBQ was very down home cook'n last Thanksgiving Day! Turkey, etc. They may do something similar for X-mas Day! It's in an outdoor pavillion with a live band and Mickey and Minnie. There's some dancing (line dancing, etc.) It's extremely casual, buffet style. Our friends liiked it as well as our kids, but I wasn't impressed. We did go on a hayride beforehand. I believe it was located at Fort Wildreness.

To avoid as many people as possible, you may want to hit MK on the 23rd.

Hope you get some more knowledgeable replies!

Bumping to see if anyone else can help me out with any of my questions. This is supposed to be the most crowded week of the year. Surely a few people on here have some experience with these questions. I've performed searches on here with no luck. :( I would really appreciate your help.:wave2:

Thanks northern michigan for your reply! :)
