Has anyone ever done the Christmas Processional with a two year old? We've never seen the CP but I think it starts at the end of our Thanksgiving trip and I'd love to see it. However, we'll have my antsy DGD with us who'll just turn two and I don't know how she'd like it. She loves music but I'm worried she won't sit still. I'm sure there'll be another Christmas time trip someday but I hate not seeing it while we're there this time. Just wondering what others experiences were..

My 2 year old did just fine for it. I guess it was the beautiful music. She is also used to going to Church every Sunday for an hour and I think that helps too.

It lasts about 45 minutes. Every child is different so you'll have to decide if you DGD will be entertained by it.

IT is outdoor with pretty music and beautiful light!

The sound is really good so a "little" noise will not be too disturbing. It is also pretty easy to leave if necessay and watch from behind the theater. A few snacks and she should be fine. If you choose a later show she might even sleep through it.

It all depends on the child but keep in mind that it does get loud at times. When the herald trumpets are playing, the volume of everything goes up. If they don't like loud things or being startled then it may not be the best place to be.

We took DD at 13 months and it was the only thing we had to get up and leave from the whole trip  But....we just tried to sit on the end of a row to make leaving easier. And what we did see we really enjoyed and will try it again this year with her 2. But we had seen it before...I don't know if that makes a difference.

We too did this last year, dd was almost 3. We ended up leaving about 1/2 way through, although it had been a long day. :earseek: But all I did was walk to the back where I could still enjoy the music and lights while she was free to roam around the sidewalk. Still very nice. Enjoy!
